Getting my MaxSym (White) in a few days time..

Bought it at SoonFah Changi Rd OTR $13400, my age: 24

1st party NTUC insurance..

Got a few Question here..

Is it advisable to change the stock tyres?

I read some earlier posts saying that the bike

Easily Drop when using side stand.. So use side stand -> get off bike

-> than use mainstand is better?

How many KM is running in?

Sorry for the questions.. First time riding a scooter as I was a Super4

Rider before this.. And I weigh about 140kg..

welcome to da club..

IMO, the stock tyres is good enough for dry n wet roads but of course when on wet roads gotta be extra cautious.

the side stand is strong enough to hold the scoot provided its on a flat surface and use the handbrake when on slopes so as to hold the scoot from sliding forward especially but most of the time i use the mainstand tho..

i running-in for 1000K.. some people do it till 1500K.. so individual preference.. 1000K is fine..

welcome bro!

stock tyres seems alright to me. not worth it to change immediately. plan to change once i hit 10000km though. still alright in the wet. have taken some corners at moderate speed and no fishtailing yet. maintaining ur tyre pressures are more important.

anyway for the stand issues, personally for me, the first few days i rode the bike, i practiced what u mentioned. but once i confident wif the weight and balance of the bike, i can now dismount w/o side stand, then lift up onto the mainstand. with some practice, now i can also bring it down from mainstand from the side (not sitting on bike). helps to prevent the main stand from slamming into the frame everytym u push it off the mainstand.

jux run in for ard 1000km and take it easy. avoid full throttle starts. cruise at higher speeds once in a while oso okay one. then can change to fully synthetic oil then follow the maintenance schedule in the manual lar.

A ride a day, keeps the doctor away!

Hey i am just curious the mileage you guys get for a full tank. From there able to guage, whether are there any possible faults to rectify.

My average is 22,2 km/L (4,5L/100 km).

My Top mileage with one tank was 290 km, but when the pointer gets to the red zone I allways start to find a gas pump.

Hi Guys!

I just got the quotation from NTUC INCOME:

Age: 25 Years Old

NCD: 10%

- 1st Party $1074.91

- 2nd Party (Fire & Thieft) $689.95

- 3rd Party Only $456.14

Price is based on my age and my NCD :thumb:

Hi bro FYI this is what NTUC Income tell me:

-3rd Party F/T is the same as 2nd Party F/T

(NTUC Quote me the same price for 3pFT & 2pFT)

You try ask Mah if they can provide you 3rd Party only,

higher chance they say cannot unless if our bike we buy cash :)

Try survey Chartis. Mine was way cheaper than NTUC. Btw, Silverwing meter lights can be changed?

Mine changed to rear michelin pilot sport, great grip for cornering. But the short life span is predictable.

I will need to inspect on the front soon.

Mine was second party. Third party also possible from my bike shop.

Better seek clarification from your bikeshop. Majority will advise your to take first party to saves all the hassle, if touch wood anything happens to your and your bike.
