Anyway electrical system went dead. No activities from lights or meter. Was riding bike actively for the last two weeks without issues.

Maybe I rode in heavy rain fall for 4 occasions, I mean really heavy heavy rain, like last night. No time for self rectification, called up Mah.

Good that Mah motors offered to tow back FOC, however gotta demand for that abit. Have also told Sales rep to check out the rear wheel nut also while the bike is there.

Will update soon.

fuse?

update soon ya...

and maybe have a kopi session too.. its been awhile.. =)

I don't know, when I lift up the seat the boot light didn't light up either. My own preliminary guess is that batt discharged by itself?

Mah just called, saying that if it's wear and tear I have to foot the tow fees plus repair fees, if its defects then 100% warranty claim. Best thing is when sales rep heard about my mileage he kind of assume I don't ride my bike at all that's why caused it, kena THUNDER from me. I told him I ride 1-2 time a week, and in recent weeks I rode abit more, though short distances, bike should not be so kuniang.

you got check the Fuse?

What are the features of this cover? Cat resistant?

A cheaper alternative is to go to daiso for prevention of cats sitting and etc on your bike.

But of course more troublesome.

Just to share with you a similar problem i had. I just changed my battery and our rides are using TTZ14 Yuasa made in Taiwan instead of 12.

I left my bike without starting for three days and its totally flat, most probably due to the seat light being lited. I tried serveral times, but still unsuccessful to stop the light. What i know of, Yuasa gives one year warranty for new batteries. I emailed Mah, they replied they dont give warranty for batteries.

Ya. I noticed seat open light in the dash remained illuminated when I shut the seat once in a while. Will usually make sure it is off when I leave the bike. Probably happened yesterday cos I went in the house right away as I was dripping wet.

hi guys, when u all running in,wat is the speed tat u all maintain?the manual put not more than 60km/h,my frds say 70km/hr is ok,so which 1 should i follow?

most of the riders here just keep to below 100km/h if im not wrong. personally i limit myself to 90km/h. engine speed only slight above 4000, so no issue. most important is make sure ur acceleration is smooth and gradual. try not to suddenly snap the throttle.

the dashboard light will indicate if ur boot light is on. its the bottom left indicator (in the middle group of indicators).

hi guys,

what i do to settle this problem is to buy washers from diy shop and super-glue to the thingy that press on the light switch :)

I realise that that thingy is too small to press on the light switch...I did that and the problem settle...i take pix later and show u guys :)

Though bike has its teething problems they are generally nitty gritty stuffs.

Good points to note are that for those of us that had problems we can get it sorted out within a day, no problems with warranty claims, and most importantly no issues with agent stocks on spares.

a group of malaysian Maxsym owners went for a ride to Penang. We had the opportunity to visit the local Sym assembly plant. Unfortunately I am not allowed to post the plant visit pics publically but anyway there is one tip I'd like to share with you all on how to manually reset Maxsym ECU.

I was informed by one of the SYM tecnical managers there, that you need to perform the manual reset ECU procedure when:

1- connecting the battery and starting the maxsym (new) for the first time

2- when you installed accessories such as -

a) hid lights, additonal rear brake light from case ( Givi, shad etc)

b) connect any additional power source from battery

3- when you replaced the battery

4) when you replaced the exhaust with aftermarket products

5) when you removed, dismantled or replaced anya of the 12 ECU sensors

here's the procedure to manually reset your ECU

1- double stand your Maxsym

2- switch on the key while twisting the throttle to the max (DO NOT START THE ENGINE)

3- wait for at least six second (or until the fuel pump mechanisim whirring noise stops)then switch off the key

4- switch on the key, start the engine and twist the throttle @ 5000rpm

5- hold on to the throttle @ 5000rpm till you hear the fan radiotor kicks in (yu have to place you ear really close to the glove compartment to determine that the radiator fans kicks in...during this procedure you will notice that the manifold wil turn to red hot glowing dont worry ,no harm is done)

6- once the radiator fan kicked in, release the throttle and let the engine idle for 15 minutes

7- switch off the engine USING the start stop button, then switch off the key

8- the process is done

how to know the manual ECU reset is done correctly?

1-start the engine

2- twist the throttle from 0RPM to 8000rpm

3- you will notice that the rpm needle moves slowly to the max rpm

4- the twist the throttle to 5000 rpm hold it there for 1-2 second then twist it to maximum rpm

5- you will notice the rpm needle moves slower to reach 5000 rpm but faster between 5000rpm-8000rm (STCS kicks in)

hope this info helps you all, cheers

The top is the original and the big one is the washer i paste to make it bigger...

2nd pix shows the switch touching the washer, if without the washer, the small thingy will missed the switch...
