the motorshop besides tachyon motor still got few bottles on display. So far I have heard that there are no more Agip dealership in Sg. you gonna try other brand of EO for your scooter already. Maybe you can give amsoil a try

Yeah.. Guess have to try other brands. Amsoil sounds good. Will be heading to AC motor mos prob on sat.

If you're riding a bike but not calculating the 50 possibilities in the 50 meters of road ahead of you, then you're dangerous and shouldnt be on one.

When you get there can trouble you to check if they have engine ICE (Radiator coolent) there and how much would a flush and rtop up with engine ice cost? Can update here?

Sure I can do that. But personally, I think engine ice is a waste of $$. I tried it personally and I felt Maxima cool aide did a far better job. N way cheaper!

anyway, i just went to do my first servicing at Mah this morning, they changed to semi synthetic oil. the $10 one.

firstly, shouldnt it be mineral oils for running in?

second, it still feels very rough. its not supposed to be like that right?

actually by right, mineral lar. but since most of the wear takes place below 100km, not really an issue. i changed mine to fully syn at 300km. the main thing is to change the oil to get rid of the contaminants and metal shavings. i tink ur engine feel rough because from wat i read ard, Mah uses 50wt EO. actually too thick for ours. ours only need 40wt. abit ridiculous IMO. agent lei. but its normal for the engine to feel rough at least for d 1st 1000km.

most scooter riders will recommend taihin or ACM. i nvr went ACM b4. taihin is overpriced. normal servicing i rather do myself.

mine too feel rough during running-in.. but after 1000km++ n a few EO change it became smoother n smoother..

i ever went to taihin b4 i can say the price is average among shops n the mechanic does a good job.. this is just my humble opinion.. :)

actually it is up to individual preference shop.. or if u have your favorite mechanic to do is better still as u know the workmanship u'll get..

Sorry for interrupting...

Just need some kind advice,

I am contemplating to get a Maxsym 400 or a Tmax 500.

Which is more worth it? I know the price difference, the cc of the engine.

I looking at MaxSym with more favor, but it seems quite wide in front, is it easy to squeezein heavy traffic?

Thank for the advice...

Seems like somebody else was making the same comparison as I am!

Just did my 1k servicing today. Unfortunately had to settle with Taihin as AC was just opening and I had to rush off. Apparantly, Agip citytec is no more in production and it has been replaced by I-ride motorcycle oil by parent company, ENI. More info on the oil at http://www.eni.com/en_IT/products-services/automotive-lubricants/engine-oils/motorbikes/motorbikes.shtml

The breakdown is as follows:

10w40 I-ride fully synthetic oil: $25 each Btl

OEM oil filter: $18

Gear oil 85w140: $15 (the boss claims he has ordered 1 barrel of this oil to cater to the Maxsym bikes)

Total damage: $83

Price on the higher side for sure, but the shop is more organised and clean quick service as compared to AC. My observation only. Up to individual preference.

Bike running smoother as compared to the mineral oil. Have to monitor. oil looks like this

Similar to Agip but labeling different. But same parent company as Agip, ENI.

Anyone got a servicing shop to recommend in the west? Tired of running to ubi for servicing and honestly they can be such a rip off at times. I'm not saying who. :cheeky:

I do my DRZ at Unique motor, but they don't handle MAXSYMs very professionally. Alot of exploring in the process of servicing. haha!

Pls recommend.
