Went motoworld during lunch. Saw uclear hbc200, $280 for 1, $480 a pair.

And the windscreen deflector for $150. All so sexpensive.

uclear alot of good feedback, so i guess its worth the price, esp no boom-mic to mess wif.

the deflector is the MRA X-creen right? i really considering it. but on hold 1st. coming up wif a DIY one making it out of acrylic.

Hi Guys, i have a problem with my speedometrer that is not working, the rest is alright. I am not very good at bikes. Any advice?

I have this same problem on the 1st day I collected my bike. Also the headlights stuck on high beam. It was sent back to mah for rectification. So don't really know the exact cause. Could be wire loose?

EBay! Bout S$238 total. Budget flipup. The chin curtain and some of the vent toggle looks cheap though. Overall still quite value for the price. Plenty of vents.

It also have an optional wireless kit which syncs to your brakes for the led. Didn't buy it.

Been to Mah and they ask to refer back to where i bought the bike........ haizzzzz

Mah should fix it if it's under warranty. Need to make noise for them to action. Quote the lemon law etc..

To think that we get such service from one of the biggest names in the local biking scene.

Hi Guys,

Just gotten my ride today. Been awhile since i last rode a bike. felt so strange. Riding it like how i would with a car, staying behind a car instead of moving infront of them. HAHA

Just to check, where would be a good place to purchase helmet, Shoei Neotec and decent riding jackets and gloves for daily use.

Welcome! Btw, try not to stick to behind a car. Personally i feel whenever possible, lanesplit. At least u hv a much longer braking area and reduce the chance of being rear-ended.

Neotec can get from Chong Aik. $700 i tink i saw ard d forums. For jackets n gloves, i prefer motoworld. Good svc and wide range. Regina or LAB oso carry alot of brands. Go see see la.

Anyway ride safe n enjoy the ride.

Btw i finally finished making my DIY windshield extension!

http://img.tapatalk.com/d/13/01/13/qaseva6a.jpg

http://img.tapatalk.com/d/13/01/13/e4agubun.jpg

Im at 1.8m and the edge lines up just nice wif my eyeline. I can ride wif my helmet visor up @ 100 and still no violent buffeting. Visor down @ 120 and still pretty smooth. Wind noise is thr, but no slapping of my helmet.

Downsides:

- less wind in my face=hot!

- no wind to disperse the rainwater off my visor

But it only cost me ard $15 in materials! And i used the heavyduty dual-lock velcro, so i can take it off whenever i want. Tempted to try the MRA X-screen but at $170, way too much for this tiny student wallet.. :(

Super well done!

Where to gather these materials for DIY? Is there a taller screen insert? I am 185cm.

I got everything from Art Friend. Acrylic sheet, dual-lock velcro and clear mounting tape. i will be doing another one soon that will be wider, taller and hopefully with brackets so the angle can be adjusted. just hope i can find the time (and energy!). just need alot of patience with a dremel tool.

I drive and I ride. I do not advocate lane splitting while traffic is on the move.

1. You are spending more time in drivers blind spot.

2. Lane markings are slippery. Wet or dry.

3. You will encourage cars and bigger vehicles to pass u without changing lanes. Compromising your space and safety.

I ride in the middle of the lane. Only in between cars when there's a jam where cars are stationary. Be careful of slow moving jams as impatient drivers will swerve towards faster moving lanes. See point 1. I keep a safety bubble of 10-15meters as much as I could. If I see fast moving car behind I go slower lane and let him pass, rather than hope that he'll pass me safely by switching lanes.

There is no pride winning on the roads. So pls don't push ur luck. Ride safe.

My HB box is Up.

However I need to re customise the rack so I can mount the base plate by drilling extra set of holes. Also I think I will need to go Seng Kwang to re fabricate the existing rack to allow the box to sit closer towards the front so rear passenger can rest on. Heard about this Ah Ahn at Kaki Bukit as the alternate cheaper source to do these metal works. Will pop over to try as ask for a quote.
