Universal X-Grip Phone Cradle vs Universal Finger Grip Clamping Cradle. Which secures better?

 

How much would it cost for the whole assembly + installation at JK?

I went to JK commercial, the boss also recommended me the same set up as yours.

Will call him for advice for a better recommendation and update those interested.

X grip is clip vertical, will slip slightly due to port holes and etc.

Jk doesnt do installation if i am not wrong.

Total would be easily over $100 plus

Think X-Grip maybe a better choice despite it's minor design flaw.

Easier to setup I guess.

 

US $88 seems to sink in well with me.

X-Grip works okay for me, used it recently with my iphone5 on a recent trip to melaka, cruised at 140. quite secure.

 

if you dont mind not locking, and removing it when you're not riding, my setup costs me USD55, also from gpscity. i think my mirror mount the ball also slightly different. my 2 cts.

Interesting discovery, the vibration found on rusty's setup may most likely due to a bigger diameter compared to yours for the ram mount base.

Yours is 9mm, where else rusty's posted link was 11mm. It should fit accurately and nicely.

So should i buy 9mm or 11mm?

Changed to stainless steel Exhaust Clamp @ ACM.

 

Another bit of Bling bling to the bike :cheeky:, and the old one was rusted beyond, Ah Chong had hard time taking it out, the nut the bolt was so corroded it almost broke into pieces. Will post a pic or two later.

oooh bling bling i cant wait. I had already replaced the ugly looking rusty alan key screw to stainless steel for the exhaust clamp.

bro, not wrong. confirm i using this one. i ordered already then realised that the thread is 10mm. but 9mm fits nicely. vibration is there, especially when moving off. but i think its pretty acceptable. not sure if putting it on the brake reservoir would be a better option though.

I am currently using the survivor series, newer version of hp case cover.The box states anti vibration, maybe it would help.

Will put up my review when it's fixed up.

 

The difference in pricing quite far apart though, from yours to rusty's.

ya, maybe cuz he has the lock, mine doesnt have. that lock cost 20++ if im not wrong.

no la bro. i JUST changed my mirrors today. the review i gave on the ram mount, was with the stock mirrors bro lol. maybe its just that me and rusty have different tolerance for vibrations?
