Do not discount eye sores vandalising new bikes. Looking at the length of the nail it takes alot of physics and coincidental science for the rubber to take in such a long nail. Then again now there's double blessing, both you and your babe walked away from it without a scratch.

Yup! That's one thing about Maxsym. Everywhere you go people eye your bike, thinking so swee!

For those who are interested, i DIY and bought it at $5.20 from a hardware shop.

Thanks to those who shared the information.

It's a replacement for the poor quality and rusty exhaust clamp.

Good job. This is exactly what I have.

Do be really patient removing the old one. Not the best of material. Once the bolt breaks its going to be a long day.

Some update on brakes.

Price quoted was exact so no issue here.

There was some uncertainty in the replacement of rear brakes probably due a newer

mechanism but front two brakes was much easier to install.

In and out about one and half hour.

Hope the info is useful.

Also my run is abt 7000km. Front left brakes is almost done however front right and rear have a lot of life left.

Just to clarify..

43140-L4A-300 RR.PAD ASSY 01 RM 97.40

45130-L4A-300 RH.FR.PAD ASSY 01 RM 91.60

45135-L4A-300 LH.FR.PAD ASSY 01 RM 89.10

Plus RM 50 for labour.

Total .. RM 328/2.475 = S$132.

Will update on their service skills and reliability on their pricing in due course.

Thanks.

I am impatient, after riding with the stuffs i bought including four longer counter sunk allen head stainless bolts and nuts for license plate.

I went and fix it on with my tools.

Can feel the heat, damn hot lol.

Bolt i had previously replaced with stainless steel.

But not the best grade, cause when i removed some threads got rusty less the head though.

To add you DO NOT NEED to remove the exhaust to remove the original clamp, unscrew the bolt all the way and pry the clamp open.

By the way does your GF have any problem reaching the pillion foot pegs?

Just yesterday I saw this black Maxsym - both rider and lady pillion were sharing the front seat! Nice!

Serious? Two person share 1 seat? Cool! So far so good, she got no problem with the footpeg..

And like you said, for that kind nail to puncture the tyre its like a probability of 1 to 100000 (i think).. Haha.. I guess i'm that chosen "1".

Sometimes if you work around industrial estate and travel there frequently will also kenna. But you can travel 10,000km in CBD and not hit a nail. Maybe you should buy Toto! :)

I asked grivas plexistyle (the greek windshield maker) about making a pair of headlight protector. He'll come out with a prototype soon. Hopefully not too expensive.

That's cool!
