I love the stock ones too, strong and sturdy @130-140km/h, very little aerodynamic flexing (less vibration), just that airstream hits top of my helmet abit, not very healthy for long distance riding. I have seen and feel some GIVI Airflow products, a little 'soft' to my liking.

Another option is to install a 'flip up' attachment to the current screen, like those touratech on ADV bikes type. That way you can enjoy the little breeze in your face at slow speeds or city riding and flip it up 'wind-off' cruising down highways..... Thinking thinking.......

Hi Guys!

I just bought a Maxsym as my side bike! My other bike is a supermoto and I will need all the advise on this awesome machine from the pros here. so please help!

May I know what to take note of for monthly maintenance and what are is the milleage clocked to service? Also, how much milleage before I change the belt? Anyone got a good workshop to recommend for this bike?

Lastly, are there any aftermarket mods you guys would recommend to do? I saw this Dr Pulley Hit Clutch assembly, which is already on my list.

Hope to receive some advise. Thanks!

Congrats & welcome.. =)

For normal servicing changing of oil n oil filter, for me i do it at every 3000km

Change of belt will varies from riders riding style, manual says every 10000km.. but normally it will hold till up to 12000km..

Agree, i think the stock is quite good enough for me good for long distance riding.. but haven try the 2nd setting (higher setting) thou..

Anyway if there is a short windshield would be good for city riding..

@2992, kopi session soon?

I agree with you..the airstream is not healthy, in my case i am tall it hits my visor..at high speed its very annoying...lol

Yup Manual says every 10000km, so far my bike i used for 14000km still good to go :thumb:

but just to make myself feels better i change it...hehehe..

Servicing wise like what @DeZewL says, change eo and eo filter every 3k km and for me i change spark plug every 5k km

Total Damage is not much bro:

- 2x Bottle EO @ AGIP is $18x2 = $36

- 1x Oil Filter @ Original SYM Filter = $15

- 1x Normal Spark Plug = $5

But the gear oil u must use grade 140 e.g. 75w140; 85w140 etc...

Alright people, 8pm Fernvale 'Koufu' food court. I usually park on the big pavement right in front but have seen LTA guys patrolling very often these days so might just go up the ramp to the. Car park above. Weave thru the cash card barrier, wide enough.

Anyway first round of drinks on me.

Meng Motor Co. It's fully syn bro. $18 is including labour bro. Just that our maxsym need to de-panel one side to access EO filter (which is quite an effort) so hv to top up some money (3-4bucks for me)on top of $18. Otherwise the mech mentioned no extra charges. Well bros here buy there ns DIY.
