I suggest just head to Mah to get it fixed since it's free. OTherwise if there were to be subsequent failure esp in engine area due bad air intake they will swear blind its due to the non conformance of owners not bring bike back to rectify know problem.

Anyways they are supposed to call up every maxsym owners for the recall, I didn't get anything for weeks, so I went in and made sure they do the mod one fine morning.

Yeah ur right.. Since its free so y not.. hahaha.. will bring in my bike one of this days..

Can u share photo of the air box bracket? as for my maxsym i dun find it needed the bracket or maybe i looking at the wrong place.

It was posted in one of the postings here in this thread.

Most likely at the wrong place, one of them also cant spot the difference from the photo itself.

Hey guys. I just went down to taihin to change back to agip eo. After using maxima eo for a mth I can really feel the difference in roughness from the 2 engine oils. Agip really feels a lot smoother.

Also added a pair of balancers for $30. A lot more stable now when travelling at 120km. Did not have any light handlebar feel like previously.

I also asked them to set my rear shocks to number 4. (number 5 is the softest for maxsym). Now when passing thru white strips on the road I do not feel the back rest hurting my lower back like previously. Just for reference, my weight is 60kg.

ok guys..since SYM Malaysia have updated their website and included the parts catalogue, alternatively you can download it directly from there..price however is in RM currency, so I guess you have to do conversion rate to roughly estimate how much it is in Singapore currency. the link is as below

Thanks ad2000 bro, really useful information there.

Do you also happen to know if we could go down personally to this JB branch to buy spare parts over the counter?

Anyone wanna install an SW Motech Trax Top Box? Can gather the strength and try bargin. Its going at 550 @ Chiap Lee.

Or anyone already using it? Can advise on the bracket that's compatible with this base plate.

well..I dont see why not, but the fact that Maxsym was only launch last month and will only be available early July, I guess you have to wait for at least August for the JB branch to have its parts stock ready. The plus thing about Mforce Sdn Bhd (Sym Malaysia dealer) is they always make sure they have enough stock for their stock inventories for all the models they distributed..till then u can compare the parts price (after currency conversion) to determine whether it cheaper here (across) the causeway or the other way around. For the fact I was also informed that all the mechanics have already underwent intensive training and courses for the maxsym model months earlier, so generally they are well trained and acquired knowledge to handle the model.

Alright Bro. Do share with us if the service is good or not when u go visit them for servicing. Our Singapore sym agent's service standard is ermm...not too good..

I agree with @rusty83,

I see the price list for maxsym parts @ad2000 attached, from the look, i dont think SYM agent here can fight the price...

they cfrm mark up the price :(

and yes, SYM agent here dont really bother to bring in spare parts :(

Lucky JB is nearby...lol
