Need help about LTA. Any comments will help!

Hi bros n sisters!,

I need advise on this matter urgently to clear my doubts, anyone with these experince please help out.

 

I just bought a leovince sbk on my s4 on sat n fix it DIY on sat night, n i when out on cte the next day which is a sunday. N was stopped by an LTA officer, he asked me about my pipe weater got cert or not i replied, yes n he ask me to show it. But i said i haven change name n go inspection since its sunday n all vicom n gmax is closed. N he didnt giv me a summon letter but he take picture of the pipe, plate no. N my cassis no. At the front. Then he ask me to go to inspection. Giving ne a pice of paper indicating modified exaust.

 

So i when to kaki bukit vicom to do the inspection after changing my cert name at g-max. I failed te test n the vicom officer game me a letter to go inspection in 7days time because of my header, project big 1 stainless steel header. But i was insecure hence i go yishun to change to original ver s header n when to inspection again, n passed it!

So will i still receive any fine letters from LTA? now my leo vince is registered on my bike.

I do everything in 1 day which is monday.

even if you receive the fine, Im pretty sure you can appeal it successfully as you have already mentioned your case to the officer who issued you the piece of paper. Good luck and all the best!

However, there is a slim chance that they would repeal it as you should get the name changed on the cert and inspection done before you bolt it on officially.

 

Anyhow, it's not a death sentence, so don't fret over it. Do whatever you do until you receive the letter. THEN, you should do something about it. For now, there's really no use worrying about something that might or might not materialize.

But how to go to inspection if theres no pipe to inspect. As in i need to install it first right?

Bro u will receive a summon from lta and u go down and appeal i have the same thing as u before after the appeal u still need to pay but u will pay only half of the amount of the summon pirce

how are you going to inspect the exhaust prior to installing it on the bike?

you need to transfer the pipe to your name within the week upon receiving the certification/invoice of transfer.

 

and for special cases whereby offence is booked on a weekend where most shops/inspection centers are closed, chances are high that there will not be any fine involved.

 

it is the current SOP for LTA to take photographs immediately and escort you back for inspection, or a notice to go for inspection.

I hope what ure saying is true.

Alot of my friends say same as u, Some say they will still issue me a fine.

But i dont know, im just insecure in this situation. I wasnt pulled back to inspect with him. He just giv me a piece of paper on the spot saying to go for inspection. At kaki bukit at 2pm which i say my avaliablity. N he write one statement only, modified exaust. He's a old chinese man.

most of the LTA outriders are old-timers in spotting modifications, so you can't pull a fast 1 on them..

 

just give a call to LTA, it will clear up everything. but as far as i know, they can't really book you for modified exhaust so long it is certified and able to pass inspection.

in short, nothing is illegal so long documentation and inspection are done.

They say just fax them the inspection letter that state i already pass n fax another letter stating my situation like an appeal letter for the io to review my case weather to summon or not is still up to the io. N she say that if got summoned can appeal to them.

 

But i said wads the point to summon if i already pass n waste my time appealing things that ive not done wrong. -_-
