Meet up at 12am. move off at 12.30. so you will reach border by 11am.

Clear customs and reach hotel 1pm. Just nice to check in.

To me, i would try to avoid the midday sun, its going to be hot, sticky and sleepy.

using 2b , for me i suggeat leaving GP esso at 9pm instead.

slow ride , still can stop at mac in KL ,eat a bit.

then carry on journey

once 8am plus , ipoh ,penang side is going to be crowded and plus the sun ..

 

 

but of coz TS should put his own planning as a lead

lolx.. 9pm will be too early because I'm trying not to ride in the dark for too long duration as afraid anyone of them "might" go into "micro sleep". Thus original plan is 3am - 12am would be fine as well because after dragging abit here and there.. Beginning half the trip is dark and the rest is bright..

 

9pm = meaning 3/4 of the trip will be in darkness on NSH.. & risk will become higher so prefer not to..

take note, sometimes fog occurs ard kulai - seremban area during the mentioned timing(12am-3am). travelling speed will be relatively slower. it occurred to me on my last trip to hatyai. was riding average 60KM/hr or less due to the low visibility and limited experience with this situation. i started at 1am in sg, reach ipoh ard 9am (for white kopi) and reach bkt kayu hitam ard 2pm. was riding ard 100-120km/h.

take note, sometimes fog occurs ard kulai - seremban area during the mentioned timing(12am-3am). travelling speed will be relatively slower. it occurred to me on my last trip to hatyai. was riding average 60KM/hr or less due to the low visibility and limited experience with this situation. i started at 1am in sg, reach ipoh ard 9am (for white kopi) and reach bkt kayu hitam ard 2pm. was riding ard 100-120km/h.

3k baht in total per room = $150 (round up) *if you have friends coming, you 2 will share the cost, if don't have friends who's coming with you, we'll have to see whether you prefer to sleep alone or with anyone else who's going.. (Meet up and discuss once your leave approved, hotel as well)

Ups! I just came back from hatyai ride on my pcx 125. Here is an advice. dont go into sadao between 4pm to 6pm. there will be jam as people are returning from work in malaysia. If its over the weekend n weekend eve, the jam is even more terrible. For 2b bikes especially those older aged bike, you really need to do a good n thorough health check on the bike. Change whatever you need to change. Dont save on it. Class 2b bikes are never built to travel long distance for long hours at high rpm. The engine will be very stress out. Used thicker oil to protect the piston. I used belray 10w 50. Dont go for lighter vicosity for performance. For this kinda long haul trip, the bike engine needs protection not performance.
