i also just renewed insurance. NTUC guy told me class2 bike is based on pass date of class 2

 

0yr - 1yr 18 points

1yr - 2yr 12points

>2yr 0 points.

 

den i was quoted $1288. he calculated my riding experience starting from class 2 which is 1yr - 2yr. he gave me 12 points.

 

I told him several times riding experience is from 2B. he kept telling me

 

 

him: "Sir confirm. urs 600cc, considered class 2 category so of course see ur class 2 pass date"

 

me: can u confirm for me again? my renewal letter states $764 only how can it be $1288? i mean, according to the letter ma! last yr my insurance also 800+ only. y now so ex?

 

him: sir i dunno but i confirm, take ur class 2 passing date, so its $1089 after 15% NCD

 

me: pls ask someone to confirm this, pls.

 

he den went over and asked.. so it shld be taken from your class 2B passing date. in the end its 0 points for riding experience. total amount became $764 exactly. a difference of $325 for 12 points. frightening man

i tink e ntuc guy dont ride...n also maybe he didnt get his insurance from ntuc....ur right on to ask to see another customer service officer or even e manager in charge......it ever happen to me once in 2001....i usually every yr my insurance for my RD 125 when renewing is $123..a pretty easy no to remeber........ every single yr until tt yr....e lady told me my insurance have shot up to $256..i told her i have no claims against me ever so i jus told her nicely since u cant help me..call ur manager lah...so we chit chat chit chat...e guy give me $156..i dont know wat he calculated or wat database he dig up but he found out i got a pristine record...well $156 is an ok ok amt i guess if taken in account inflation?.....well im glad u know wat is ur rights bro...lets hope others also do their own research first when gettin insurance n dont jus blindly accept e quotations at face value...

if gOt time..i intend to take claz2A early..

does havin claz2A license early but still ridin a 2B bike..

means cheaper insurance

current insurance for SP for 18years old just passed license is $600+ from mitsui this year.

 

i got mine at $375 last year from them.

 

i wonder how much is mine going to be when i renew it this coming june. anyone knows?

yup, got owned for the 5% direct rebate.

 

everyone pls note:

 

when u go down to NTUC to renew your insurance, u need to tell them u r renewing directly with them.
