I've seen the router myself (haven't played around it yet).

You need another plain* ADSL modem sitting between your wall outlet and that Linksys. Your ADSL modem should be wired to the Linksys's 5th Ethernet port at the back (yep, that's the one that is seperated from the other 4)

Once that's done (and everything is connected), you have to log-in to your Linksys router and play around with its WAN settings. If you see a page with boxes that let you enter your username and password, that's PPPoE -- and you need to use that to connect to the internet.

* When I say plain, I mean one that simply plugs itself to the wall -- you can't login to it to change settings. If that's not the case, you need a workaround.

EDIT: Okay, you've set it up swee-swee. May I know how it is connected so we can further help you troubleshoot?

PPPoE?? point to point?? well, as an end user, i really can't see any value add from using pppoe except allowing ISPs to resell lines. basically, i believe their helpdesk is asking u to connect using Winpoet.

if u hv already been doing so, try doing the following as ur post do not provide enuff info as to wat when wrong.

r u on wireless or wired??

at the cmd prompt, do a ipconfig /all to c if u can grab a lan ip (its probably something like 192.168.X.X)

browse to ur router page (probably 192.168.1.1 ?), under status, did u mange to get a wan ip??

at the cmd prompt, try to ping the sucknet's dns 165.21.83.88 (sec @ 100.88), can resolve ip?

or wld u happen 2 hv HW firewall (watchguard)?? i doubt so.. but try providing more info since the possibilities runs countless
