if u are riding a ver s, take out the left side cover, u can see the air filter. take out and replace. it's much easier then to replace a vtec one.

alternatively, u may wanna go to mah motorparts and replace it, they can fix u for u.

 

Yep. Mah motor help you install the filter. Last time I bought @ $65.

If you don't know how to clean, can ask mah motor to do. Cost is $15.

merz65, u park ur bike underneath ur blk isit? cos my bike oways got cats' pee and paw marks too.. We shd put all stray cats to slp sia.. haha

my regular shop is at yishun. if u want to go i can pm u the sho[p name. but be warned, their price is slightly higher than usual but i'm comfortable with the mech workmanship. he understand my bike too.

westin motors parts are more expensive than others. mechanics quite good with s4. ah tee is knowledgable, the fat guy trained by him, show a lot of improvement lately.

duckhams :thumb: i use the semi synthetic one, one about 16 or 18, a bit expensive but it's a good oil. their oil filter also abit higher priced than others.

me used my k&n air filter for over 15000km liao.. just wash n clean it yesterday.. then when i ride feel a diff again.. think e dirt in it had affect e performance.. good buy.. cos can reuse recharge kit cos $18 fro lab, can clean n oil it many times.. good buy.. better response for ur bike too.. friend bought fro LAB at $60.. DIY.. wun regret one.. :smile:

 

Think you got it wrong! LAB don't sell Original K & N filter only chiong ones. Even if he does sell real one now I advise not to get this from him general rule : something you can buy from LAB, somethings you cannot! :D

isit? well although i didn't buy fro LAB i bought it fro mah motor but e box my friend bought fro there(lab) seems e same as mine... every included..

does lad also bother to fake a warrenty? :confused: any prove to support ur saying?? :D

Just got one from Regina yesterday. Everything looks in order, box, warrenty card, instructions and the well oiled K&N filter. Doesn't seem fake to me.

There is a possibility that LAB is selling genuine K&N Air Filter (for S4) but from a different source than those found in other motordiam.

 

K&N may come from UK as well as US (not necessary manfactured in US, but definitely packed in US).

 

So far, LAB one seems to suggest that it's from US. So maybe it's parallel imported? Or through other source that the only authorized distributor in Singapore, who actually suxs and wanna earn all to themselves, without thinking of its dealers who help them sell...

hmm...how to see whether is ur air filter K&N one or not? any pics? cos i juz bought my bike not too long ago. dunno how to tell the diff though... tot of changin it if it isnt the K&N one....

 

It's written on the air filter itself.
