Hi Shawn,

 

I'm riding a ZX 750 P2 model. Heard that the orginal exhaust mufflers are heavy and it rust and corroes easily. Therefore, maybe u may like to go to Seng Kwang and ask them how much izzit to change the exhast system for u.

 

Just my 2 cents worth and hope this may help you.

Actually, he has an aftermarket exhaust but is worried about TP. So he is considering getting a 2nd hand original end can for inspection & normal riding. His mech advice him to get a ZXR400 or ZX6R end can, then modify to fit his bike. But stock kawa cans on some models are known to rot easily. He is seeking advice on which can will be more long lasting.

Correct me if I'm wrong, Smellycat.

hello Shawn as far as I can remember the end cans wont rust ... I rode a 7 L model before ... its heavy no doubt ... it has this words imprint on the end can .."KHI" ... in which the "H" stands for HEAVY ...

 

The Kwak downpipes however are not so good ... they tend to rust badly ... what you can do is to change the down pipes ... or spray them with high temp black paint ...
