Evening guys.

I have this bike which is under installment from this particular shop. I opt for their giro payment service so that I dont have to go there to make my monthly installments.

I remember a few months ago I have forgotten to put in sufficient money during the deduction period. What happened was that the deduction wasnt made and I have to pay $30 extra for the late payment fees(I think I was a week late). So I went to make the installment payment in person, to the shop, in cash. No 'Service Charge' involve.

Yesterday, I realised my bank account was $100 less and my installment not yet paid. I went to check the bank transactions and I found out that this bike shop has made 4 times of $25 deduction, under the transaction of 'Service Charge'. All the transactions was made on 23/11/11. I made a call to the shop and they told me that there wasnt enough money in the account for them to deduct, and everytime they make an attempt, the bank will charge them $25. Bike shop then charge my account.

So what bothers me is that how can this happen? I only authorised the shop to deduct my account for monthly installments, not 'Service Charge' for a service which I did not asked for. If there is such a thing that I will be charged $25 for every fail deduction. (1)Why wasnt I charged a few months ago when I personally went to the shop to make that payment? (2)If there's a new policy that was implemented, why is it that I am not aware of? (3)Why make another 3 attempts if the first one fail on the same day?

I really felt cheated. I am seriously thinking about making a police report for they deduct my personal bank account without my approval. I know I am being calculative for having a bike, but these minor things also want to post. The thing is that, $100 is quite a sum for me. Its considered 2 full working days for me just to earn that much. So I hope you guys understand what I am going thru.

I really need some advice guys. If anyone feels that I am being a cry baby or offend anyone. I am very sorry, its not my intention to do so. I'am just lost... Anyway I was short of $4 when the bike shop tried to make the deduction, but now I am short of $104!

I am not aware that Giro charges $25 to the users for insufficient funds. Please read the fine print of your instalment plans. Otherwise, it really is a unauthorised deduction.

BTW, only bounced cheques charges fees. Not Giro. If it does. Terminate the Giro deduction and make the bike shop writes you invoices for payment issues.
