is it ok not to attend the lectures for the first 2 week of the course?

or can u ask someone to collect the notes for u?

my problem now is that i am only allow to quit my job only at the 3rd week of the course and i dont know whether to do part time or full time

i dont want to do part time because i want to concentrate on my studies

but if i take full time i will miss 2 weeks of lesson

what should i do anyone can tell me?

don't worry... you can miss any amount of lessons you want... haha... they are not particular about attendance...

but if you're concerned about catching up with the lectures, then you probably have to catch up quite abit cos they teach quite alot of stuff in a 3 hr lecture... but its still manageable... esp when its just the start of the course, the stuff should be simpler...

and yes, SIM allows you to plan your own timetable... you can even squeeze all your lessons into a 2 days week and work part time of the other 3 days... most SIMsters are holding part time jobs anyway, even the full time students... alternatively, you can spread out your timetable into a 4 days week and have all your lessons in the morning then you go work in the afternoon everyday...

for the first few weeks, i think they got check your id when collecting notes but you can always collect your notes from the program manager from their office or just get them from the lecturers...

hi... i would like to ask if full time student can choose ur own timetable or is the time table planned for u?

how many days do u have to study per week?

is it the same for part time student to plan own timetable?

i am not sure about other courses, but for UOL courses, the timetable is planned for you

i cant tell you what you should do, but my advice would be to go for full time if you dont have any commitments...missing 2 weeks of lessons is not really that important...its basically just missing the 1st 2 lessons of every unit...which the 1st lesson is usually introductory...no worries

well, nobody will kill you if you do not go for the first 2 weeks of lecture. What course are you taking?

I WAS from RMIT. quite slag.. first two weeks no project to hand in, so it is okie. but you might miss out visits from the foreign lecturers.

After reading the replies, i realised for UOL courses, you can plan your own timetable. but for RMIT, you cant... its all planned....
