Anyone heard about this local made engine formulation by Maxima?

is it a new oil? as far as i know maxima is from USA and they make excellent oil. one of the best.

oh... if you love ester based oil, maxima is the one to go. they have one of the highest amount of ester in their oil. higher then redline and motul. of course, the percentage of ester does not tell the complete story on how well an oil work in real life application.

as for my take with most engine oil additives which some might not agree, i don't think engine oil additives work as well as it should when used with a well designed engine oil. let say you are using Motul 300V and does anyone really believe by adding a few ml of additive is going to improve it further? major brand engine oil spend alot of effort to design and balance their oil with some of the best tribologists so i don't think they left out some "miracle substance" in their engine oil. most engine oil manufacturer do not recommend engine oil additives to their formula as well. of course, what i say is not a blanket statement. it will be good to follow up with VOA and UOA with additives to proof it is working and not doing any harm.
