My Metzeler K3 racetec interact rear tyre bought about 6 months ago manufactured [2611],made in Germany gave up on me.Lots of thread left in all areas.

It was beyond repair,even i had tyre repair kit and a portable air pump.

Huge chunks of rubber came off by itself,like it was being tore open by a "tiger".We can see the inner metal walls of the tyres.The sidewalls on the right were bloated.I took photos of it,i was travelling around 140km/hr constantly.

Many riders saw the conditions of my rear tyre at the bike shop,they all said manufacturing fault and QC problem.It was for sure no normal puncture by nails and etc.

I don't think i will ever use metzeler tyres again after using for so long.I was really disappointed,now changed to Michelin.

I was there from 4am till 9plus.Waiting for the tow truck,it was one of my worst days of my life,no food,water and ciggy.

once in malaysia highway traveling at high speed and longer distance , the air inside

the tire will build up and cause the tire to be over heated and dues the rubber will like

as it was being rip off .

As a experience rider like you , think tat should not be the problem , yes could be the

manufacture problem , or it maybe there is some air leakage tat you didnt notice of

but , it may happen to any brand of tires , notting is perfect , sometime jist pure SUAY .

look at it tis way , notting happen to you , only the tire , it could be worst

hmmm ... could it due to the softer compound tires ...

Yeah i second that,damn unlucky.I did rode up to Genting once on tyres fixed by previous owner Michelin pilot sport,before i reached Genting tyre punctured 4 times.Si beh sian.

I couldnt really make out what you really meant on the part of that pop up thingy.

I was planning to change to Q2 tyres,but front no stock WTH.

how far is Gelang Patah to your house .... you can only pump air if your tires is cold ...

i once rode for abt 15km and i try pump air to my tires ... the air in the tires actually come

out if the tries instead of pumping in ....

But anyway ... tat should not be the case of your tires ripping off ....

for your case .. it could be manufacture fault or it can be a cut in your tire

and ridding in highway speed and long distance dues cause the tire to be rip off

or it could be like wat Quincy said ... it will be good to know why .. so tat we will

know wat to do to prevent tis from happening next time
