Ask them to demo. Then try yourself.

He will ask you to bend more.

i think the visor which can bend till 180 degree is it sample visor only? how abt the actual visor tat u purchase? got try to also bend 180degree bo?

Posted

hmm evo's rs959 and revolution IV visor also can bend 180deg. meaning it can be flattened onto a flat surface (regina's counter. lol.)

since cheap cheap evo OF helmets have such visors, why not AGV. :cheer:

and i doubt it's a sample visor. maybe i'll go take my own Evo's visor and take a video of me bending it. lol.

i've seen it in person at regina. but as mentioned, that may only be the sample piece. the actual one he sells you might not be the same case. but in any case, before you pay money, bend it yourself, if it breaks... then ask him to explain.

these visors are not made from normal plastics. i can't remember the exact name for it.

its thermopoly**** something. remember i learnt something like that during mechatronics course.

meaning that these plastics are super flexible but feels hard to the touch. it is not brittle. it allows you to twist and bend. such a material is the result of a number of plastics combined together.

however, it isn't an expensive material to come up with. it costs just slightly more expensive than acrylic to manufacture (material costs).

and info aqquired from zod, many of us... including myself, have mistaken the idea that titamium costs a bomb. although its used extensively for aircrafts, the material itself is actually not that expensive too. so the titanium on the AGV Ti-Tech doesn't really justify the high price. it must be because rossi "advertised" for it.

nevertheleast, its a solid good helmet. get it if you have the cash, serious.

one look, one touch, one try... and i've been thinking of it for the whole week! took quite abit for me to shake off the idea of getting one kwakwakwa!

warning! don't set your hands on a Ti-tech! unless ur set on getting one!

don't worry, evo's visor won't crack when you bend it. lol. only downside is the visor's too short. -.- so now i'm using my GPR helmet, rs959 in a helmet bag at home :D

i think a motard helmet on a sportbike looks weird. although i wish they come out with such fanciful designs on normal FF though. rjay's range of off-road helmets have killer graphics!

oh ya and AGV i believe has nicer graphics than arai and shoei. personal preference though :cheeky:

nb one ti-tech 800+.. can buy a slip on for a 1000cc bike alr. :giddy:

juz bought a ti-tech, damn the helmet is light. . .

but for sizing is it advisable to take a 1 size smaller becuz of the cheek pads?

cuz once the cheek pads is seasoned, the helmet will get loose. . .

my head size 57cm , and i got "MS" size which i think is suitable for 56-57cm . . .

good luck.. for ti-tech designs u can get it below 870. and for the gothic(issit rossi design?) u are paying extra jus becos the design is used by rossi.. and got his number? lol

zack dad told him and he told me: why wear other ppl number/design and pay extra
