Why wouldn't PML repair the bike?

I don't think so. Wouldn't a company wish to sustain business operations? If they repair it, they get to earn the parts cost, and if they do a good job, they retain a customer don't they? Doesn't make business sense.

if the bike is PI bike,pay pml an adoption fee of $5000,then PML will attend to you shortly.

It's a PML bike. He bought it from the 1st owner. Apparently he has some trouble with the repairs due to certain technicalities.

 

We'll leave him to his options at this time.

Hi all. New owner of a C600 (got it from a fellow forumer) here. This thread has been quiet for so many months. Everyone moved to WhatsApp? Am curious how much is the original BMW top box for this bike. Saw a post saying that it cost ard $1.2-1.3k. Is that true? Any idea?

went down to PML today to check out both Cs.

 

OTR price for C600 Sport is almost $30K! COE at 6112. Only got SG50 promo of 1.5k less :(. And only until end of Aug.

 

But don't like the lack of storage. And putting a top-box on the Sport model just makes it look terrible.

 

As for the GT, OTR price will be above $30k, before promo. And even with bigger storage under the seat, I will still need a top-box. Reason being, i need space for 2 full face, plus 1 laptop bag that fits a 14" laptop. So a top-box is a must, regardless Sport or GT model.

 

What's really holding me back about the GT is the ride height. I'm really on my tip toes on the GT. With the Sport, it's slightly better, gives me more confidence. I've had a Jap 750 sports tourer in the past where i was really tip-toeing and ended up dropping the bike a couple of times :(. So i'm really trying not to get myself into that same situation again.

 

Anyone here with the GT who has a top-box installed? Does it weigh the bike down and give it a slightly lower ride height? Or a Sport model with a non-BMW top-box installed?

Mine comes with a non-BMW top box. The original does look better. Contemplating if I should change it. Scooter is meant to be practical. I could live with it as I need that space. I still think the bike looks cool with it.

Gianelli - $900 (Titanium slip-on with carbon end cap)

Leo Vince - $800 plus (Aluminium end can)

Arrow - $800 (No idea what materials are used for this one)

Termignoni - $1300 (Carbon end can)

Akrapovic - Should be in e same region as e Termignoni or slightly more if my memory serves me well

 

 

Among all this, I only know that e Akrapovic is LTA approved. Browse thru from page 1 and u'll find some useful information.

hmm...seems like only the Akra is LTA-approved? i haven't heard the original BMW exhaust, but i've heard several youtube videos of the Akra, GPR Scarico, Malossi Arrow, SC-Project, and the Leo Vince on the C600.

 

1) Not sure if Leo's video was the actual sound cos the rear wheel wasn't spinning when they revved the engine and it just sounded too much like a car.

2) Don't fancy the Akra but i think it's at least a step-up from the stock.

3) GPR sounds really good. Me likey.

4) Arrow - don't like the metallic slapping sound. Don't have the oopmh and reminds me of something like the Aprilia or Gilera Runner.

5) SC-Project - not as good as the GPR, but still better than the others. And looks better than the GPR.

 

But it's been over a year since that post. Wonder if any of these exhaust listed have been approved by LTA for both C's yet. Anyone knows?

hmm....this one seems to look better than with the stock BMW top case.
