hey..is sp a recommend bike if it is mainly used for transportation?

as in..is the maintenance every mth high

what a qn...u should follow your heart. its abt passion...haha

juz to tell u...sp cn go at least ard 20km per litre so u roughly will rch 200km so depends hw far u travel. from wat i noe, wave cn go 50km per litre. so if you juz wan transport onli bt dun wan speed...den go 4 those economical bikes. if u wan to look chio...of coz i recommend sp.

dat is my 1.8c opinion...any1 beg to differ? :D

yes, u are right, u don't need to change gear oil for 2-stroke bikes that often, and don't need to use good EO for that purpose. it's simply a waste of good EO. fully/semi synthetic 15/50 engine oil is more crucial for 4-strokes, especially the small small 4-strokes, cos it is basically the only coolant and lubricant that the engine has while sp have coolant, 2T, gear oil and sometimes even the petrol itself acts as a lubricant for the piston.

hmmm....

I am student too ... AT first was influence by my friends and thus, like SP quite a lot , In design, in performance and look here in SBF.. got a crowd of SP riders to consult iF u got prob ..

For student like us, I suggest U "calculate" overally budget for the bike (machine) and uR monthly budget first. .. cuz .. like wad xeonvenom said, SP fuel cost per month dO cost mOre thAn kUps..

Eg . mY monthly budget which include mY installment ($180/mth for 1 yr) and petrol ($ 140/ montn) + Miscellenous $ 50 (Optional) = $ 370 / month . .

uNless uR parent "Supporting U in long run" otherwise like me... will be working part time to earn the fuel cost..

Ultimately iF u wan $$$ economically... Wave, Sparks or other kups will be perfect suitable for you ...

mY 2 cents ...

Well , there are many students here including me , it's just :

how your income flows in (parent support group , allowance income or part-time income)

how long you wanna ride that bike (if you're upgrading to 2A then don't bomb everything on it)

what are you looking for in riding a bike (transport , speed , pick up chaiz ,design etc etc)

what would your future lifestyle would be (you wouldn't want to buy a bike if you're suddenly leaving for overseas for 1/2 a year)

overall SP is a average bike , how much you spend in the maintainace really depends on

how much you love your bike

how the previous ownerS take care of it

how bothered you are

how much additional cash you have to spare

well , just my 2c .

I'm a allowance income student and i'm surviving so this proof it's not that hard to maintain :)

$108 per month and left with 12 more months lol ..

Riders are naturally more daring then Drivers , cause Riders are constantly facing danger on the road.
