Hit by ppl from the back dun really occure very often i guess.. thats why important to make sure u can see someone in ur mirrors make sure they not directly behind u.. lol

Pulsar 2nd gens is run on digital meter.... And i also dun mind of going slow. It a mean of transport. Not for mi to test the top or going fast.

Top speed seems like abit popular with you? I dun mind going slow. So what if people laugh at mi? Cuz I am slow? Ya. Slow onli wat. Most impt is my safety. I dun wan my family worry abt mi. They already let mi ride a bike, i also happy already. No point making them worry that i am speeding here and there.

As long u know how to throttle and u got the ball u can go fast already wat. Even a just pass rider also can do. But how long can u ride slow or how slow can u ride? Going slow reali a bad thing to u? Or speed and power is wat u actually wan? I really dunno. Do u think all the post abt u is abt power and speed?

Basic Maintenance:-

1. Petrol?

2. Spark Plug?

3. Engine Oil?

4. Season Parking?

5. Cashcard?

6. Any Servicing?

Installment not counted due to maybe the more it drag the lesser it is. But the most I drag it 2 years...

After count here and there....

Finally result based on the above factors....

SP -----> 220

S4 -----> nearly to 350 per months

Spark -----> 150

If plus installment,

SP ----> None (cuz will b clearing at Aug)

S4 / Spark ----> Take it for my comfortable zone of $200/month

Factor(Base on yearly basis):

- Insurance

- Road Tax

- Tyres(Usually 1 pair yearly)

- Brake Pads(Usually 1 year change once for front/rear)

- Installment(x 12)

- Petrol (x 12)

- Season Parking (x 12)

- EO (Put it @ 3 months once then x 4 to make it yearly)

- Plug (4 stroke can change once yearly)

Add everything together then divided by 12..That's basically hw much u gonna come up with monthly..Most basic you have to come up with..

As for your SP, no installment, you just remove the field..

With regards to chionging at the 3rd arrow i no comments ah.. its really based on judgment and case to case basis thats why red light cams got some allowance time before it triggers. but yeah i agree with u on that i dun think u all travelling fast enough to chiong on 3rd arrow.. probably a misjudgment on her side, i apologies on her behalf to u again.

to me if **** already happens instead of just looking at whose fault it is or blaming other parties for eg.( car swerve in , taxi nv signal , suddenly ebrake kinda stuff)

its easier to look at how we can change things ourselves to prevent stuff, afterall u cant really control how someone else drive/ride. if by watching ur mirrors can prevent something like that why not do it.. after all the rider behind u is a new rider with barely 1months experience unlike urself.. not to mention we all know she isnt that good of a street user.

anyway going 100 on expressways isnt really too concerned abt top speed ma.. its more like going inline with the traffic.. i nv really talk abt going fast with regards to pulsar and phantom wat, earlier i just comment that at 100 i heard that those bikes vibrate quite a bit. not like i mention anything abt how fast it hits 100 or how much it vibrates when the bike hits 299km/h.. to me its just a point to consider coz i'm travelling more than 40km daily to work and home and 80% of the journey i'm cruising within the range of 100km/h which is why the comfort at that speed is important to me or rather i thought it would be a point for u to consider.

Sometimes going slow is just a compromise to one's safety on the road when everything around u is going like 30% faster. That in my own opinion justifies myself to travel slightly faster/inline with traffic conditions. its like seeing those L**d Rov** travelling on TPE at left lane end up even big lorries and truck also have to over take them on the center lane.

No offence but

To open throttle when it's amber and you're still @ the 3rd arrow approaching a cross junction in town, as the vehicle infront i wont expect the vehicle behind me to go faster instead of braking..

To attempt to dash across that junction = suicidal.

In the eyes of the traffic law, the one behind is always 99% @ fault..

Yeah.. agreed. Usual road limit would be 50 to 70km/h which allows ppl to stop safely from that distance. Red light cam would have been activated unless u pass the line within 1sec or soemthing

Yeah.. agreed. i would have stopped unless i'm like going 140+ just before traffic lights which is nv the case :slapforehead:

Thru this kind of small incidents, a rider will learn(Nt too often of cos)..As long as both riders nt injured except to her bike, that's pretty much ok..

just for clarification... red light allowance is for people for have crossed the final white line when traffic light turns amber... not for people to chiong knowing that there's is a allowance and assuming your bike can make it.. garfield did the right thing to stop.. possibly the one behind did not keep a safe following distance..the very basic rule before prac 5.01..

if u guys still remember, the school teaches that upon the third arrow before the junction, light turns amber, u MUST slow down & stop... and upon reaching a junction, u should close your throttle a little and check traffic from both sides before confirming its safe to proceed.. note that a good rider should know that traffic lights can NEVER physically stop vehicles from passing thru..

Yeah i kinda rmb that as well.. due to the fact that motorcycles on 2wheels have poorer braking abilities compared to the 4 wheeled road users sometimes no choice have to go.. but i do agreed its probably due to safety distance and the formation of ride , if its a staggered formation or maybe slightly staggered then probably lesser chance of collision.. i guess the missing of tail lamp is also a point to note bah.

So wat is a 1 month plus street rider? Does she need to learnt something from the school before can get her license? Please la. I am not blaming her or wat thing. Is jus for her to learnt something. I am not angry for she banging into my back of the bike or wat.

I also want her to b safe and sound. What will happen if i am not in front of her? She will just beat the red light? Somemore is at 3rd arrow... And by the time she dash over... It already too late!!! Green light from other side will be activated and car will be moving off. Or worst? Self skid due to hard pressing of brake?

And for the speed part, Is i read all the thread that u have post. Like CBR thread... Or u can ask ur frens ard u? U keep on saying that ur CBR no power!! Does it mean that u always wan a powerful bike? Ya. Maybe now 400cc to u is no power due to u have already getting use to it. That y u say no power. Even u buy a haya... after for few months or years... U will say that no power. So wat more do u wan? Might as well be a fighter plane pilot. Can get all the speed u wan. Somemore no traffic light.

Posted

When there's a traffic junction infront, we cant plainly rely on the tail light of the vehicle infront but instead at the traffic light which acts as a controller for the cross junction traffic, other wise if nobody chose to look at the traffic light, the government would have wasted $$$ to place it there in the 1st place..

Cheers,

Somemore i was not at the center of the lane... I was abit to the side. Ya. But i always remember wat my driving/riding instructor told mi. From my car to my class 2... "always slow down if u r near a traffic light or a junction..." Accident will happen easily at the junction. Ya... Maybe my tail lamp is not working... And she also can't judge by my tail-lamp rite? Alot of car tail-lamp also not working. But i also will slow dwn cuz is a junction and thr is a traffic light. But is it right to open ur throttle at the 3rd arrow? If ur speed is going abt 60 - 70 at a gear 5 (inculde netural). I think u also won't open rite?

back to the same thing.. speed limits & safe following distance.. u can always stop SLOWLY in time in 2 wheels IF u are going at the safe speed limits.. the system is there to help u.. not for u to break it...

in my own experience of riding, even if there is no tail lights.. one can still stop/avoid in time IF a safe following distance is kept... after many tries on NSHW @ speed over 140km/h..
