u kns la... the new owner take my bike more than 1 yr ago.. earlier 2 weeks ago... he sold off the bike to buy class 2A, and u know something.. he sold the bike for 2.5k.. the bike was already fully accessoried when i sold him.. so a deprecation of $300 only is really good lor..

 

shows that there are still people out there who knows a good bike..

The same old topic again...Let me list down a few for u to consider..

 

- Cheaper due to currency exchange

- Might use 3rd party parts rather than OEM(Cheaper)

- Due to usage of 3rd party parts, might not last you longer than OEM

- Since it probably wont last you longer, you probably have to revisit them more often than using OEM

oic for block if not wrong they will sand for u for the scratch but how come ur priston jam did u wack too much or is cause by ur block ? did u ask the mech

went to bikers paradise today to get my SP checked out for the same problem... from what Andy (power and very friendly mechanic there) told me, your FC is affected by a few things:

 

1) carberator: clean? fuel jet worn out? size of air/fuel jets too big? the settings for fuel and air have to be properly calibrated so that your engine gets the optimum mix of air and petrol, ie twist throttle then go right amount of power and also not leaking oil

 

2) valve: need to service and get them cleaned if not carbon build up affects the combustion process

 

3) is your engine stock condition: Andy informed me that stock SP has good FC, but once you start modding your bike, you need to readjust the settings again...

 

4) riding style: the more your wack your engine, the more petrol it will drink

 

5) where you ride: stop and go traffic conditions will consume more petrol than expressway riding where you have your throttle open constantly

 

thats what i gathered so far, hope this is helpful to you... im still learning abt my SP also, so hope the other SP lao jiaos can fill you in more...

 

 

went to bikers paradise today to get my bike checked out cos FC very high (140 and just above E)... went there and had to wait for a while, andy havent arrive yet but no problem... did a very good job servicing my carb, needed to change a few of the jet because the settings not matching... also helped me adjust my clutch and throttle cables so they feel a lot better now...

 

going back tmr to change 1 more air jet, top up full tank again and test the FC again... thanks to sandyanne, andy and bikers paradise, the service is top notch...

 

 

eh bro, my fc almost same as urs leh.. I juz get my bike from a shop in autobay and I dun quite trust the shop becoz the shop nv do certain items for mi. My bike I know was been modded abit coz the end can stomach is diff from a stock sp. if wanna change the settings and check carb, valve , air/fuel jets how much ar?

 

can pm mi? btw bikers paradise quite near my hse. If really that gd I dun mind bring down my bike to let them c. need a trustable bike shop to work on my bike.
