actually that 1 is turn 3.. quite a sharp left turn...

hello all. i got question again...

 

i got new piston! must run in rite? for how long and how far and how to run in? also, i think the mechanic mess up my fuel:air ratio. damn now the bike fuel consumption damn heavy. the 2T also on to the max. does anyone know how to turn the fuel input down? and the 2T down also? i heard its possible to DIY? can help?

juz changed piston need to open 2t big big...dun tune it small

 

if u did full svc, your consumption will worsen too, for a while only

 

running in is for e first 1000km cannot exceed 8k rpm

 

for e next 600km cannot exceed 10k rpm

 

after that u're done.

UNHAPPY with shell?

Take your money elsewhere then. I did.

but surprisingly, the 2T like nv use much, but the fuel consumption is horrible. was riding from PIE to ECP along clementi ave 6 when the tank finish. was half tank, then travel only 60km then the bike died!!!! lucky the reserve was enough to bring me to pump. used to be 260km full tank... anyway i only change piston. after run in then i will tune the ratio back. is it possible to DIY? wats the ratio for stock bike, anyone knows?

yah lor. i went from home (i live in bedok) at half tank to lim chu kang via TPE, SLE, BKE, KJE then back from PIE to ECP via clementi ave 6 and the bike died at clementi ave 6. i can literally see the fuel needle moving down. wtf. anyone has any recommendation for any motordiam where i can go tune it down or i can DIY? this is taking a severe toll on me.....

last time i run in my new piston, my 2t can reach like 1 litre to 1.5 weeks nia..

 

 

but now quite ok le cause after running in, i ask my mech tune my 2t intake down..

Jan 05 - Mar 06 : Honda NSR150SP

Mar 06 - Mar 07 : Suzuki RMX250

Mar 07 - Sep 07 : Honda XR400R

Aug 05 - Nov 09 : Honda XR125L

i think i kena carrot by the prev mech. bike cannot start then he tell me must change piston. ok. listen up all. the mech is the long hair one at tampines shell (near holy trinity church). ok. so i change piston. then after i got the bike back, i try, f***, engine is knocking at 5000rpm!!! then i try the choke, eh? no diff leh. last time i pull choke the rpm would go up to 3000rpm. now? no diff leh. i think he maximise the fuel intake. wah kao. i shd have known better. the bike is only one month old ! and someone wanted to buy it, now i dont know if i shd sell considering it got this kind of problem

cannot start got a lot of reason leh... piston change normally is piston jam then change de wad.. wah lao..how much u changed fer it?

he initially quote me 480. then i f** him, tell him to reassemble the engine and i tow to ah boy to do. then he give me 280. now so many problem. i feeling very stressed la. all my hard earn blood and sweat $ gone. if i have known this earlier, i shd have just continue taking bus

u go to the shell bike shop?

tat time i full service at extreme with my frd...

he sae both out piston r not good so ask me to change..

we change le then go le n then think it not nessery lor...

hahaha....somemore full service is 200

then change piston is 200....

there really isnt any prob, not tt i can see it at e moment

 

engine knocking like machine gun at 5k is common across all SPs mah

 

ur fuel consumption thing wait a while to monitor first then decide

 

wat do u mean by choke no use?? as long as it helps u start e bike easier when its cold then its ok...whether it goes up to 3k or 2k rpm when its pulled it dosen matter...2k rpm enuff for more petrol to go in

 

2t knob u want to tune back to original it can be done, e mech will know wat is original, can be seen...but juz tt pple oso advised me tt dun do tt during run-in

so far i not having problem with starting. one kick and the bike comes on. the choke seems to be redundant when i pull it. but the fuel consumption is horrible. will it fluctuate with time or after run-in?
