Honda Shadow help

Hi , i am getting a new shadow ... may i knw in the market got wat version?

and how much is the price.

 

Cos i am considering between S4 and shadow, which has a easier maintenance and FC? pls help

hmmm maybe the first thing u wanna think abt is the type of ride that u want... S4 give u plenty of torgue ...but shadow is more comfortable for cruising....

 

price range for shadow anywhere from High 2K to 5K depending on year, mileage, accessories, condition.

I think the price is around the same. 1st hand S4 and Shadow is around 12-14k? I can't member. I might be wrong. But the difference isn't that much. Maintainence about the same. EO, chain, coolant, etc. FC I can't comment cos I dunno what's S4's FC like. Look around the forums? I'm sure some one mentioned b4.

 

But yea, see what you need in the end. One for cruising, the other err..is not.

Yo Adriel, no prob. Hope you feeling better. Ok la. Now can hit 110-120. Not used to the high speeds though. Maybe with a new helmet, cos my old one, once hit 100 it starts to wanna fall off. lol.

 

My FC is around 20km/l. I prob can hit 230km excluding reserve.

 

I dunno if we'll be there this Friday. Road Trip! Come down next week la. We'll all talk kok.

Yes guys, many of the Kruzer will be on a road trip this friday thus we will not be at Saathiya(use to be Chillis), 25 Owen Rd. All regulars for Friday outing will be on this ride thus we will not be there. You guys cab still go ahead if you want .. or you can come out to GP Esso to send some 50(30+ bikes and 3 cars) of us off .. We depart at 12.30am Saturday morning.

I'm riding a shadow 400 too, i can get about 230km - 250km before reserve kicks in......

so it less than 20km per litre

Around 20km/l la. Cos when I'm around 200km or when I hit my reserve, which is around 230, and go top up, usually around 10L go into my tank. I think anything less than 20km/l is quite a problem.

is about 14L inclusive 2L reserve for my new shadow 06 version. currently 24km/L at 90~100km after my run-in.

lastly.. wanna ask do u guys have problem seizing between traffic during jam ?

And going into parking gantry... some no need pay $$... can just squeeze in at the size, wonder if this is a problem .

Squeezing in traffic is dependent on rider's skill & judgment. Nothing much to do with the bike you ride.

As compared to my previous slim slim TA200, the wider, bigger, heavier shadow will be a slightly more challenge to squeeze in the traffic. At a slower speed when you squeeze, the weight of the bike can be felt and if you add in 2 decent sized sideboxes which many people did, it will definitely increase the challenge to squeeze in traffic, but its is not impossible, cause i seen bigger bikes swirl around the traffic in ease, but i would advise you to practice caution when doing so, especially if you just got the bike and not familiar with the handling.

 

Oh btw if you are looking for a 2nd hand shadow to ride, Planet Motors in Ubi got one for sale, just saw it today, you can get for slightly below 3k....just talk to Ah Chong the boss.......

I think can squeeze la. But not as much compared to say a scooter. Usually check your handle bar. If that can go thru then the rest of the body should be no problem. But with side boxes, I not to sure.
