Anybody here knows how to tell if your fuel injector (not carburetor) is having problems?

For example the typical tell tale signs and how to fix them?

When your fuel injection is faulty, your bike could not start although the fuel pump can supply fuel but the sensor will not the injector unit to disperse the fuel into the chamber. There will be no tell tale signs as this is electronic failure and we do not have the effort to check such unit.

So you're saying that if it's a faulty fuel injector, you can't start the bike and you're royally screwed?

But there should be tell-tale signs before such things happen yeah?

If injection is failing, it simply means it is unable to supply petrol to the engine. Simply put, you will get erratic acceleration, power lost and at worst case engine stall. Usually there will be a FI error code to pin point the exact fault.

it seems that most make has superior quality in injectors... I hardly heard riders mentioned on servicing injectors or replacing them.

Guess if any of those injector failed, one of the cylinder may not fire properly that surely affect the combustion cycle... as one rider mentioned if such cases ever arise the error code on our dash should provide us the link to the problem.

bike is a machine without soul, rider would inject new life and character to this machine
