I assume you ment 2001. I'm affraid your chances to do anything about it are very slim or next to nothing. Unless you have any writen confirmation or contract that states the seller was selling you a bike registered in 2001. But I guess no such proof is available. You should have looked into bike's registration card before you buy.

So sorry for not giving you an encouraging reply.

Well, you can actually check it out from one motoring website. Guess you didn't know about that. But no use crying over spilt milk, unless you've got concrete evidence that specifically says that you were buying a bike registered in 2000 you can't do anything.

bought from a shop or private seller?

Shop maybe you can talk to them nicely first and ask them for some compensation, monetary or in kind.

If that doesn't help you can try going to CASE or Small Claims Tribunal.

But will really help your case if you have evidence.

Or just to play devil's advocate, did u hear wrong?

Maybe they meant transfered to them in 2000 not registered in 2000?

If pte seller maybe you don't have much recourse short of suing him or lodging a report with the police. If the police believe there is evidence of cheating or there have been previous reports against the person they might want to look into it.

Someday, home will be where my front wheel points.
