Hi all, I legit have Motion Sickness.

Went for the first simulator session at CDC and vomited due to nausea after the session 😔 I also had headache for 2 days after the simulator session.. Was given the form to be excused from the Simulator session, and a doctor is supposed to sign off that I am unable to take the Simulator module as a result of my Motion Sickness.

I have been to 2 different clinics and the doctors do not dare to sign it as they are unable to diagnose my motion sickness.

Has anyone gone through this process before? How were you able to get a doctor to sign the form?

My last resort would be to complete the training modules..but I feel like vomiting just thinking about it..

Thank you in advance! Any advice is appreciated :)

i also felt nausea after the first lesson, but dint go to the extend of vomited.
what i did for the next 2 lesson, every time when i need to do E-break on the simulator i just shut my eyes. As the simulator also simulate the motion of the "braking effect" when you are doing E-brake.

@imanonion Some tips from the instructors, any one of the below or combination might be able to help you get through the simulator course:

1) Inhale Vicks or put Axe oil under your nose before your lesson

Axe Brand Universal Oil, 28ml | Topical Pain Care | Pain & Fever | Health | Guardian Singapore

2) Wear the anti-nausea band during your lesson, i believe CDC sells these, approx $20?

❀❀ Nausea Anti Morning Sickness Motion Travel Sick Wrist Bands Car Sea Plane | Shopee Singapore

3) Keep you foot planted flat on the ground to stabilise yourself, instead of having them up on the pegs - FOC

GP unlikely to certify you unfit due to nausea, you would probably have to go to a specialist for that and that could be really costly.

Good luck though! You'll get through it eventually!
