Hi guys,

 

Been trying to set my mains tand , but cant seem to liad it up despite practising. Any recommendations on alternative / actermarket main stand that is compatible to this model and easier to load up?

 

Photos is the current main stand the bike has now, looks like its original

likely its a technique issue. But aftermarket stands sometimes are a little harder to get the hang of it. 

Try these few methods. 

1. Step and put the stand down. 

2. Make sure when you step down on the peg with a shoe with FIRM sole (not those soft soft slipper foam type). If don't have any shoes you try with army boots first. 

3. Make sure BOTH left and right of the stand are touching the ground. 

4. Hands to hold at correct areas, use your WEIGHT to press on the foot peg and use the hand motion to move the bike BACKWARDS and up. Not LIFT the bike up. 

5. Try it!

The mental model you need to have is to SHIFT the Center of Gravity of the bike Over towards the back of the Main stand so rolls backward and stands up. Not LIFT it over the main stand. Unless you weight less than 40kg... you should be heavy enough to leverage on your weight. Here's an example. This bike is more than 220kg. So ...
