If you place your fingers on the clutch or brakes as 'standby' when not actually pressing it is called incorrect posture as well.

Extremely depressing & discouraging L5 performance. Cant believe I failed all the L4 items today. Admittedly the rain & wet circuit did make things a bit tricky esp for F8 & ebrake tho. During revision everything seemed ok. . But during L5, Made it for F8/crank but fell down during plank. Dunno how...somehow lost complete balance abt quarter plank. For slalom they said I hit cone, but when I exited & chked back right there werent any fallen cones. Then for the 1st time ever I fell during ebrake. Bike just skidded out of control during braking. I was just doing 35kmh speed. Just thankful that I escaped with knee abrasions & torn pants. Ive heard of worse injuries before.

Quite frankly I expected to be able to pass this time since I had 4 pts last Sat, IF only because of a darn cone! But I did lose heart after the 1st fall at plank & lost complete interest after the ebrake fall.

Theres nothing more that I want then to do road lessons bro! But the way things have been working out for me these past 4 attempts, I fear that its still a miles away dream! haha

Congrats on your sp! Be gentle on the throttle mate. I remember when I was still a teen, I tried to ride a friend's Suzuki 80cc 2T kap chai & nearly achieved a mini wheelie upon starting off! Balls nearly dropped sial! lol

Well, enjoy your ride bro. Ride safe, dont rempit & lipat unnecessarily lol Hope to be able to joy ride with you one day!

Hello all, new bird here, just gotten my sp transfered to me this morning. I would like to know roughly how long i should top or check my 2t pump, rather then waiting for the light.

And may i know where can i get putoline 2t near my area, whampoa.? or any 2t not so ex and smokey? Thanks!

Depends on your 2T setting. Some every two weeks need to top up, for mine about a month plus. I ride daily. You probably need to observe awhile or buy a spare and keep at home. Top up when necessary.

Ya. If faster acceleration and/or more horsepower is not among your priorities, a 4 stroke will do just fine. Less noisy, less maintenance/fuss & better fuel consumption.

For now I will just content myself with dreams of an sp resprayed in either Rothmans or HRC colours haha...

Thanks for your encouragement. Was contemplating throwing in the towel after that disgustingly disastrous L5 outing.

With regards to your 2T oil - Castrol has been around for a very long time now. There are also some good reviews on Repsol. Then there is also Mobil.

Yeap on 2t pump. I have been using Mobil 1's Racing 2T (gold cap) from ESSO for about a year +. About $24+. No issues with it.

Some pple swear by Motul 710 while many say any type of 2T also can. Lol.

Hard to start after rain is pretty common. Use the choke if you have to. SPs are pretty damn old bikes. They have their temperament and each bike is unique. You will discover yours soon.

For myself my bike is always parked under shelter. If it rains heavily and my bike gets wet, there is a chance of water entering the fuel tank and carb - which will make starting the bike damn hard afterwards.

Follow your heart even if sometimes it means losing your mind.

Don't buy from petrol station. Buy from those spare part shops. I used to pay only 15 for m1 racing

thanks guys for the recommendation, i will to get my hands on these 2 brand, maybe try mobil 1st haha, motul seems lik the Atas oil  i did saw a mobil 2t from a shop at balastier rd,but is not the gold cap and cost 9 dollar.

Yup i think ur right on that, cos i altho my bike in under shelter carpark but its still pretty much exposed to the rain, mostly i have to choke start my bike before riding, after some read up i think i may have flooded my carb, shall try turnin off the fuel tap, to prevent overflow into carb.

:btw: Mica or Rijac, these 2 days i notice that my bike idle at neutral gear, will have a loud engine knocking sound (was told by a spark frend), something like, tom...tom...tom..TOM..tom...tom...tom...TOM~ quite audible loud, i wonder is that a characteristic for sp or 2t bike in general? another friend riding sp has the same knocking, but aint sure whether its the same as depicted. Sry to have hijacked the thread :sorry:
