the other hard core solution is to drill a hole through one corner of the helmet and lock it with a bicycle lock.

This sounds good in sg. ok i will look into this option.

Damn... Anyway, ur right about that. Exact same thing happened to me before. Even though mine was just a cheap $50 helmet - some b*****d actually took the effort to destroy a perfectly good helmet and steal it. Happened to me only once in 2.5 years though.

I using phone now finding it really hard to type. Try to use the computer later. But a lot boils down to my fundamentals being weak.

quite true also...but i scare pract 1, i need to go for like 3 or 4 lessons to pass it thru...than if i book jus 2, later still have to book again for pract 1 resulting in longer waiting time.

the pract 1 slots are really limited.

Hi rjac bro, just to check with u...

i went my pract 1 today and i am able to do as the instructor request..

ask us to go small circuit round about, and ask us to go round and round..

the instructor ask us go gear 1, than kick to gear 2, and than to gear 3. when stop, he ask us to go close throttle, use a bit of brake, than clutch and keep tapping the gear 3 to 1 and than to a stop.

i can do it, but dun understand this theory, i tot bike also like car, should gear 3 than to gear 2 and to 1???

can jitao just hit the gear 3 to 1 like this meh???

cant catch the logic, hope bro can share some light about it.

This is correct, for the circuit, tap twice from gear 3 down to 1 when braking. On the road, the procedure is different (and similar to manual car braking) - you down to gear 2, release clutch to engage engine brake, then down to gear 1.

When driving manual car, you will sometimes clutch in, brake, then stop in gear 3. Then when u stop nicely at the junction, then can leisurely down to gear 1. For bikes, the procedure is always to brake, clutch in, tap down twice to gear 1 before stopping. These are some slight differences that you should get used to.

This is the procedure for coming to a stop. In the later part of lesson 1 you will learn speed control where you will go up to gear 5 then you will have to demonstrate ability to shift down from 5 to 3 before coming to a stop.

Ok, so on the road, the changing of gear is something like manual car changing of gear???

So circuit i just follow their style of changing gear....haha i just cant get the logic.

That lesson (part 2 of practical 1) is for the rider to know/remember what gear are they at.. and have the ability to control/shift down to a particular gear.

relax.. hehe
