hey thanks. i'll try it. so let momentum carry you halfway then power off the plank. i just need to pass the lesson. in the TP can just chiong to be safe (lose points only) lol.

Hi all, long time no see. Just got back from holiday!

Rijac, you have developed the same plank phobia I had when I was learning it for the first time. Here's a technique you might find useful:

1) Accelerate towards the plank

2) As your front tyre touches the plank, clutch in and allow ur bike to roll up the plank

3) When your bike is fully on the plank, begin gently tapping and releasing your rear brake intermittently at 1 second intervals... Timing is earned on the first half of the plank.

4) As your bike slows from the tap-braking towards the middle of the plank, accelerate and move off to prevent falling off and clocking an Immediate Failure

5) With this technique, you don't even really need to half-clutch at all

This should give u a 6 second timing. Enough to earn ur chop and pass 2B. This is a cheat-code technique I used in 2B. Unfortunately, it doesn't work when you need 8-10 seconds on the plank for ur later licenses - new tricks will be required then, but you can pick those up on the road! This trick is useful if you're stuck in a slump and stuck on the plank like I was. I took 4 lessons to pass the plank. It's very normal actually!

Exactly! Let momentum bring ur bike up the plank!

To drop speed a little in the early half, u can do 4-5 quick tap-release motions on the rear brake, counting "one thousand" [tap-release] "two thousand" [tap-release] three thousand" [tap-release] until you hit 4-5 counts. This helps calm you down and ensure consistency in procedure.

Gang. For those who haven't gone for DRT take note that according to the instructor their attendance system is linked to TP system and time controlled. This means if you are more than 10 min late he can let you attend the class but he can't mark your attendance in the system. And you will have to come back. So don't play play. The good news is that the lesson doesn't last 90 min so it's not so bad. Quite funny also the guy

Hi all. I failed my pract 2 again. Hahaha. Oh wells. Was on the same session as Nabil though. Second time seeing him at CCDC.

I failed because of my general control of the bike isnt good, and my positioning of bike before bends not good yet, plus my speed is too slow. Instructors keep asking me to throttle more.

So yeaps. Next lesson in another week time! :dozed:

Can ask y'all. Do I need to buy guards and gloves? And now is it must complete theory then can book practical?

Yes you need elbow guard, knee guard, helmet and gloves. Gloves please buy covered ones. I stupidly went to buy those open finger tip type.

You need at least your Basic Theory, or a Class 3 license to start practicals. Theory can be taken concurrently with practicals but need to attend all theory lessons and pass your RTT before you can proceed on to Pract 5 onwards.

Hi! Good to be back ;)

Afternoon lessons in the hot sun are horrible! And when you get to Class 2A, the goddamned S4 Revo heats up like an oven and cooks your thighs like a kebab! You'll actually be able to see mild burn marks for a day or so before they fade!

If things have not changed, you will have to get RTT before u start on your road lessons. It's not just for TP I believe - to even be allowed to ride on Singapore roads as a student, you will need a PDL, which you can only get after passing RTT.

Yes Sunday was damn hot luh. But I would rather it be that way than to rain I guess?? Or maybe drizzle. OR unless I have my own raincoat then I wouldn't mind if it rains slightly heavier. Haha.

I have sunburns from Sunday's lessons. On my arms. Only my elbow area is spared due to the elbow guards. Now I have uneven "tanned lines". :dot:
