Hey guys, need some of your opinions here ;)

I'm planning to get a Top Box for my Black FZ1N but I won't be using side panniers... Considering 3 different top boxes -

1. Junior flash 55L

2. Xplorer Black edition tc45L

3. Gobi Black tc42L

Anybody using any similar boxes??? Care to share about them??

Once M-technik has stock (sometime this weekend..) I will be heading down pronto to get it mounted! so hoping to get some info on which suits my black fz1n best! (i like all three but can only afford one!)

its time for a change!

New attraction coming soon!

No point getting Gobi, cause of the design inside can put lesser stuff compared to other box (not cause of the 42L)

If you like practicality then always like to buy stuff then buy Flash lor if not you wanna go for looks is Xplorer.. Both will look good on FZ1N ba..

actually, no top box will look nice on a fz1n.. but if u really gonna get one, i would recommend junior flash 55L because:

1. like what adrielneo mentioned, gobi has lesser storage space..

2. heard that xplorer will leak water into it's storage compartment..

Hi, anyone know where can buy the rubber shift shifter sock? Where is the best price?

er why do we actually need rubber shift sock ? the principle of the shift sock is so that we do not get our shoes dirty when shifting gears ?

IMHO, the dirt will also get onto the rubber shift sock and in the end our shoes still get dirty from shifting.

So far did anyone purchase it and found it is good after installed and wouldn't dirty your shoes?

I bought it from a forumer here who previously did a mass order.

I installed it onto my gear-shift... Installed it very easily by slipping it over the gear-shift just like how one would "install" rubber over your "human shaft".

Mr SiaoSter is right. My track-shoes still gets a small dirty spot where it comes into contact with the gear-shift.

The rubber shift sock just protects our shoes from scratches or our track-shoes from getting a hole after long period of coming into contact with the gear shift.

As for preventing dirt and getting my shoes dirty, my personal opinion is that not very good towards prevention. Don't flame me, pls. Just my 0.00002 cents worth.

Thank you.

Like that jia-lat...

I am using a Journey TC50 now, which I find it not big enough for my daughter's milk powder and my NTUC goceries.

I was still thinking of upgrading to a TC52 in time to come.

Arghz... I missed my Givi Maxia E52, so big and spacious...

hahaha... :)

No problem, Sir.

Just my personal feel.

Maybe for some others, they find that the rubber sock actually protects their shoes from the dirt. :)

Cheers.

I agree with the above - the purpose is to prevent damage to shoes, not protect from dirt.

The other purpose is to provide better grip, especially for those bikes where the gear lever doesn't have a rubber sleeve as standard, or in rainy conditions.

Last and least purpose would be cosmetic... assuming you like the colours
