If I never remember wrongly, the transition from 6 to 7 occurred sometime in 1984-1985...

 

the transition from 7 to 8, cannot remember cos not siginificant... haha...

all home no. appended with a 6 in front.

all HP no appended with a 9 in front.

currently,8 is also reserved for the growing no. of HP no.

dunno abt their uniform, but all i know is tv was black and white, came in a cabinet with doors that u slide left and right. Neighbours flocked over to watch tv altogether.

 

and the telephones were rotary type.
