Just returned from a short sprint up Malaysia, our average speed was around 140km/h. After the trip both pillion and pilot suffered fatigue mostly around the neck and shoulder region.

 

Pilot’s helmet is a Shoei X-11. Pillion is a Nolan N101E. The bike is a Yamaha FZ1 with raised windshield.

 

During the trip we noticed that our heads tend to get “pushed” around by the air turbulence, especially as we travelled faster.

 

We are hoping for suggestions to make the ride less gruelling.

yo bro, i also face the same problem as u during my trip to KL last weekend.. mi n my wife also have the feeling of our head being push ard at speed 150km/hr n above even with the new tall shield that i have install.. :sweat:

i think it depend lah.. mine at 140km/hr both rider n pillion are quite confortable :sweat:

but i realised ..if the rider lean forward....n the pillon (me) oso lean forward...i wun feel as much "pushing" even the rider ride to the speed of 190km/hr... i will only feel the straining of neck when both r sitting upstraight...esp when I have to hold the rider at the waist n tilt the head to the side..dats torturing...

 

mayb ur pillon n u can try to lean forward when at higher speed? it really does helps to lessen the straining of neck n shoulder.....hehe...my 2 cents worth

i intend to go around some bike shops on sat....go ubi area first then maybe elsewhr....
