actually not so recent, dude.

Back late last year already more and more....

Explorers , Subs on display and available (Dickson, Roy Eastern, THH)

They dont tell you the old bullshit story of someone reserving it at $XX so if you want must pay more and take immediately....etc...

Anyway, want to buy rolex sports, go hong kong, go jkt and other parts of Asia can find.

=============================================

I'm still wondering whether to buy Daytona Black face.

I dont quite like the chrome part of the watch and bracelet.

Also it doesnt sport a cyclop eye.

But my sub and explorer getting very  common now.  Almost like a Casio G shock....haha.... then again I 've always worn it like a Casio, for swimming, for tennis, while riding, while travelling, while sleeping even.

no lah.......sub date considered very seldom being displayed......from what i see in KHH, WP and THG....only in recent times sub date started appearing.....always kept behind...

exp, exp 2 and especially sub no-date all along for the recent years can be seen in display cases..... when i bought my exp 2 in 2002, they were kept in the backroom to be sold at very little discount....in 2002, exp was commanding a premium price of over $7k......! now one can get a exp with discount.......market has softened alot for exp....

fact is dealers will always bullshit...........they can say what they want......just listen only....wont affect me one abit.......

the fact is.....one will get less discount on a sub date compared to gmt 2 and exp 2......

as for daytona............if u have reservations, then better dun buy.......only buy what u like lor......u prefer the 4130 or 4030 version.....? if u dun like the polished lugs and bracelet, then buy a older 16520 with all brushed lugs and bracelet.....meets your requirements spot on.....but all modern daytonas have no date......so no cyclops........

with the number of watches rolex makes........its not a surprise they r quite common.....panerai oso very common........

The Hublot Big Bang, my fren says it's very popular. When launched , all taken. Price is quite cheap too for the base model , less than $10k.

But the design similar to Offshore Royal Oak.

Anyone got suggestions for watch to buy? Feeling a bit itchy....

Requirements:-

Price not so ex (under$20k)

No leather strap type

Must be watch maker brand

No precious stones

Must be sporty and tough

yes indeed the BB is still v popular........have checked with an THG salesperson.....many ppl are waiting n some have placed a deposit as well....the base model (all SS) is not so nice.......the SS with ceramic bezel is the kick ass one....of cos RG with ceramic bezel even more kick ass but that's more much expensive....

for SS and ceramic bezel will be around 12k+ after discount......so it's about half of a ROO....the BB is very nice.....see pic not so nice but when u touch, feel and wear it........there is a WOW factor......big and impressive.....

i hope the salesperson will call me soon haha........

I know what you mean. but compared to the past (a few years back) you will not even find a Sub available in the shops.

Dont feel like getting secondhand Daytona, leh.

Yeah, Sub Date is still most highly sought after among the GMT, Exp and Sub series. I bot my Explorer 2 early this year for USD3,800 (S$6,300).

My Sub date I bot in 1998 only $4600.

I havent really followed prices, you mean now above $7k ???

Wah lau......

would u buy a TT blue sub for about 9800 (with good discount).....

http://i75.photobucket.com/albums/i305/oohlins/subRolex16613.jpg

....or pay a premium price of about 9300 for a green sub......??............

Nice contributions to all!!

Hi All,

I'm no rocket scientist into watch collection, Just need some advise, I currently own Rolexs, omegas, Glycine, Sinn, Longines. I might want to sell some of them if there are keen buyers. All with boxes and papers. My purchase are made thru Hour glass.

Would you consider Zenith, open face model which launched last year. That model which uses EL Pimero movement.

I touched, feel and wore it ... List price S$24K for the Titanium and steel S$13K.

Good luck to all.!

HI Explorer,

You're right... The new boss has a different marketing perspective.. To me, they have lost the up market "Brequet Feel".. Got the latest WoW mag.. cool pics are in there.!

Bro Siam Bee,

Glycine will be launching some new models (Saw it from the WOW mag).

My favourite and the most trustworthy is Sinn UTC (Day date, Chrono) with Matt Steel braclet. Recently, just order a Black leather strap to match. Reliable German watch manufacturer.

Bro Phang,

Nice Pic. But not this model. I will post the model soon. By the way, have you got your retro Kawa aka Triumph Bonneville yet?

Info for Sinn watches Fan,

There is a full titannium Sinn Braclet model with serial No. 1/10 available from Passion. Asking 3K.. Last seen about 3 weeks ago.

Brother Teamlm,

I will get my bike by the end of the month. As you told me earlier, Mah will bid the COE under my name and the next bidding exercise will be held on 21 August if I am not wrong. How is your GT1000? I stopped at Ducati Singapore after having supper with my wife last night. The GT1000 is a BIG bike.

HI Bro Phang,

Indeed.. I'm standing 178cm tall, couldn't even stand both feet flat when i mounted up. They are currently doing the pre-delivery inspection. Delivery should be late next week.

What do you think? True Italian classic bike goes well with a Italian made 44mm Pam Luminor Marina with dark Croco.
