i agree all are value for money. if you're looking to make some money out of the watch, keep everything and most importantly the watch must be in 9/10 condition. chances are the price will go up after some time.

Sea Dweller

Submariner

GMT Master

?? which one bettter? more value?

All three have their own uniqueness.

The one that holds most value is the Submariner date.

It remains one of the most wanted "basic" Rolex sports.

The most sought after Rolex sports is the Steel Black face Daytona

(see my avatar)

Submariner is Rolex's diver's watch.

Sea Dweller is the "professional " model of the Submariner.

It is a diver's diver watch becos it can go deeper than the Sub but does not have a magnified date as the cyclop eye will not be able to withstand underwater pressures of those depths

GMT Master has 24hr hour and is often used by pilots or people who cross time zones. The standard GMT MAster II is the cheapest of the 3 models

Currently Sea Dweller is approx $8750, Submariner date is approx $8400 and GMT MAster II is approx $7000. prices vary a little base on specific colors and models.

They are not exactly value for money, haha, but they hold value well.

Prices will go up. the earlier you buy the better...heheheh

I have the following:-

Sub date (bot in 98) for $4,500 now about new $8,400

Explorer II white (bot in 2006) for $6,300 now new about $7,200

SS Daytona black (bot in 2006) for $17,800 now new about $19,500

for now i have no wish to buy another Rolex or another watch for that matter.

I bet the Daytona has the most wrist time…. to bring down the cost of "dollars per wear"

prices for the daytona is being selling above list price, but now still can get a Z series for 18k.. just check 1 mth ago..dunno if still got..

Nearly got a WG piece sometime back . liked the black dial with red markings. But decided not to as got other committment.. now price being raise a further 2k more..

Now the best to hold is Seadweller. not the sub anymore.

SD is going at 7-8k region for preown, and stocks are running low or none with the AD and going at list price. No more discount like last time

I got all three SD, Sub and GMT , but the best IMHO is the SD. heavy and thick, solid feel on the hand! The Sub I pass to my GF to wear , and the GMT(99 A series) is for keeps Its seating inside my winder waiting to upgrade its status to vintage ahaha.

Might get the Daytona next year if I got no other aims .. =)
