The ground battle in Iraq is more costly to US than 911 in the long term. Us didn't plan for this insurgence when they invaded Iraq and to put it as it is, they are paying the price for it.

bush like war mah....he dun mind spending the $$...he can juz jack up the oil prices any time...and it will be use who his helping him pay for his war~~ :cheeky:

US are not the ones controlling the oil prices. If anything, they are affecting the price of oil indirectly with their war on terrorism in Iraq. The current high price of oil per barrel is partially because of the premium factored in for security measures due to terrorism. And I don't think he can 'dun mind spending $$' because the USA is technically bankrupt (http://www.todayonline.com/articles/28930.asp).

Having oil prices high is no use to him. US is a major importer of oil, no an exporter. In other words, they don't derive their revenue from exporting oil like members of OPEC and other oil exporting countries...

 

I editted my earlier message, just to add in the part that says that US is bankrupt.
