Haizz.. What a coincidence. My RW also can't start yesterday after work. Before that, there's no sign of problem occur when I start it in the morning to get to work. But after 8 hrs parked on my office's basement, there's nothing happened when I try to start. The Natural light does go on and I notice that the light became dimm and dimmer everytime I press the start button or even horn.. No sound at all :?

Managed to find a ramp & push start my RW. Thank God it works!

I suspect it must have something to do with my RW battery. It's Daelim OEM dry cell. Never change and been using for almost 2 1/2 years.. :cheeky: Run my RW to the nearest workshop & had my battery change for RM100.. Yuasa wet cell..

There's go my problem.. Huh!

Oh.. Sorry bro. Perhaps u missed my intro when I first register & post here in SB..

I'm from Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Just excited to join SB since I can find a lot of RW owner there in S'pore.. discussing more on technically terms. We can share lots of knowledge & experience about RW. It's hard to find RW forum in M'sia coz not much Malaysian riding RW. :(

Btw.. It's the new battery replacement that cost me RM100.. I'm not charging back my RW's OEM dry cell battery.

KL is far away from Johor.. Then I can't really tell u where & which shops to mod our RW. Not really familiar with Johor road actually. But if u reach KL, there's a place I would recommend u to go and do RW mod. It called Jalan Sentul. It's a biker's heaven.. Everything u need from spareparts, accessories to any modifications.. As long as money isn't any problem..

where do i buy a 'maintenance-free' battery?

or is it just any ordinary dry cell?

i have a question, wat mod have done so far?

basically, rw need to refine setting from stock.

here my recommendations:...

4) use 15t front sprocket with either 140/60 or 130/70 rear tyre.

Stsoh bro.. I'm now using Kenda 140/70 rear tyre (if not mistaken.. Got tat size aah? Have to check back. Always forgot when it comes into numbers.. hehehe :p ) and my sprockets got replaced but remain as stock setup which is 14t/42t.

My question.. is it worth for me to change the sprockets setup to 15t/40t? Or either one between front and rear sprocket..

My RW jet needle eclip had been moved to slot #3 & do some carb tuning by myself based on RW service manual and with help from your tutorial & recommendations here in SB. (You're the sifoo bro!) One thing I didn't do is to remove the inner baffle of RW muffler. Been done it once but I can't stand the loud sound. So I put it back in :cheeky:.

The performance not really bad so far. Easily to maintain 90 km/h when up hill.. With stock setup my RW can only reach 80 km/h and lower.. Max speed still 110km/h and sometimes went 120++ km/h when going down hill..

Go McWell Ventures at Paya-Ubi Industrial......all sorts of KNN filters dere. If dunno, ask a bro who drives and zhng their cars....confirm they know wan :cheeky:

Can try Simota air filter also. Using it on my chevy. Trying to scout one for my bike. Feels as good as K&N. Only thing is that no need to oil the filter. But must by the special cleaning kit from the dealer.

Hey any one can suggest a K&N filter model or any dimensions of a tappered filter that i can use instead of the normal stock filter?

Doubt so, 200cc wil strain the top part of the engine since the diameter for the rebore is significantly larger compared to 140/160 cc. Plus the extra heat generated from friction on that bigger area may cause the engine to excessively overheat. There's a 160 cylinder kit somewhere online.

Unless of course, you try nudging in a TA200 (phantom's) engine onto the engine mount......now thats a different story.......

Ok, NVM.. found the answer somewhere up the thread already..

Slight change in FC, slight increase in Hp..

Since Mr STSOH has 'upgraded' it to a 140cc (from a 125), wonder if can max out to 200cc.

Bytheway, is the upgrade legal?

A phantom engine into a Roadwin?

Tempting.. but i haven't got my bike yet, so i dun think i wanna be too pushy on asking to many questions abt moddig the bike.

if the RW engine can put on a turbo-charger, i know really quite well that I would. And when that happens, I'll change sprocket to probably increase top speed to ard 150. hahaha...

But i dream on.
