i use WD40 to clean tyre rims n clear all spats of grime from chain lub.

i use silicone spray on plastic n chrome parts.

no water is needed.

leave a coat of protective lay.

u can buy wd40 or equivalent (RP7) n silicone spray in DIY/hardware shops.

but within the engine bay there loads of grime all around.. how do we get rid of that?

anyway, as promised, my ride:

i don't think it is good for the engine do this.

free n wild revolutions may cause more harm to the engine.

reason:

revel too fast for oil the lubricate parts thus scrapping will cause scorns on parts.

it is different when travelling at 10,000rpm@110kph, engine is working with loaded force.

talking abt rev'ing at 10k, i usually stop at 8k, cos it vibrates too much liao. do u all cruise at 10k rpm???

no, usually 8~9,000rpm@90~105kph.

btw, did u check your front sprocket how many teeth?

if u r lucky, u can see a 14t or 15t stamped on it's side.

likewise rear sprocket, u should be able to see 42t stamped on it's side.

otherwise u have to count the numbers of teeth.

i didn't check. the front it's covered, the rear i didn't notice any stamps. ltr i goin out, probably i go check ltr..

but i was quite convinced it's 15t/42t since i got 85kmph at 7k rpm.

would u be interested in a rw outing?? hehe. i'm thinking of gathering everyone in here.. take a look at possible mods and everything.. :)

sorry, my table speed@rpm r off the marks (in other words, not accurate).

just check speed on the meter, i was doing...

70kph@5500rpm

80kph@6300rpm

91kph@7000rpm (approximate).

my setup is 15t/42t n 130/70 tyre.

hm. i couldn't find the stamp.. it located on the outside surface rite???

so probably my setup is 14t/42t with 130/70 tyre? tat explains the 85kph@7000rpm? am i rite?

most probably stamped number is facing inside.

i always encourage rw owners to change front sprocket from stock 14t to 15t, it will reduce vib above 8k rpm.

rear tyre 140/60 is not common, 130/70 can be easily purchase from any shops.

encourage all rw owners to use 15t/42t sprockets with rear tyre size 130/70 for better ride.

i c.. but i just changed new sprcokets.. think mayb next change then i change to 15t.. but one sprocket can last abt 1 year liddat rite???

today morn heavy rain sia.. me kena with no raincoat :( aft i rode back, i straight away sprayed chain lub.. i sprayed on the upperside of the lower chain.. correct rite?? but i like sprayed alot leh.. kiasu.. hehe. like make sure every part will get the lub. hehe. shd it be liddat??? or anyhow spray can liao.. but hor, one can of lub really exp........ hehe :cheeky:
