i saw one rw from ite simei with the rasta design. didnt have the chance to meet the rider.. rw are cool these days!

 

Mine's BLACK! And I can't wait to collect it.

 

I think before I go collect it, I'll get them to change a few things..

Based on recommendations from the previous posts from Stsoh, Johnny, Satria, here and there other people who have contributed, I will..

 

1) Change front sprock to 15t = better top end speed. Higher speed @ lower RPM = better FC

2) adjust jets and bolts.. but again.. noob question, how to check how far the screws has been turned? 2 1/8 turns for pilot screw, 3rd clip for jet,

3) change main jet to #98..

 

Checked.. Currently setup is 14/42 sprocks with 140/70 (is it?) quite stock la, saw the swallow branded tyres.. - correct me if i'm wrong here.

 

uncle soh, this was your setting some time ago (read past pages last night.. hehe..) is it still the same? I'm tempted to pop by your place soon so you can advise me further on what to do.. can?

 

I'm off on wed.. Might even pop by sooner to collect my Baby.. :thumb:

btw, what other engine oil can i use...ive been tryin to figure out where to buy other brands EO...bt cant seems to figure out which is the best...

royal purple max-cycle 20w50

 

heard from stsoh these give pretty smooth gear change ;) wad EO u using now??

 

btw guys.. i was doing 30km/litre with SPC grade 95.. then i switched to shell 95 n got around 32km/litre.. any idea is shell really beta? or m i just being led on.. hehe..:cheeky: :cheeky: :cheeky:

I want to try royal purple... this blody engine oil i currently using is so ****ed.. bearly hit 800KM and it jams my gears!!

Legal to ride/drive- HOw the **** do i Know?

im riding comet, 4stroke, and my agent ban hon also only sells castrol EO like what cka does. can my comet use royal purple too? and stsoh why do you not recommend castrol EOs? that bad?:giddy:

haha yah if want turbo charge might as well take a flight without endangering others right.

 

anyway stsoh my eo's cap prints 10w-40. does it matter if i buy rp 20w50 eo and let them change?

it is better tat u change the front sprocket to 15t if it has stock sprocket(14t).

using 15t sprocket will lower rpm by 5% to reduce top end vib.

does not equal better FC, the engine is working harder thus needs more fuel.

 

rear tyre swallow is 140/60, need not change. u can use it until next tyre replacement, then u try 130/70 size.

140/70 tyre is too much for small engine to drive, it can hardly drive above 9.5k rpm.

 

carb's original main jet#100, u can leave it alone no need to change.

in theory, mj#98 is most suitable for rw but in practical, mj#102 gives better power at top end.

 

jet-needle's eclip set at lower slot means higher FC for more power.

 

pilot-screw after all the trials, i settled at 2 1/2 turns which i find is after all the optimum (default is 2 1/8 turns as per manual). not much just 1/8 turn only.

 

u can ask roy to do carb tuning for u.

Wanted to ask him change to 15t sprock, but he out of stock. I got a feeling he lazy to change.

 

My 2nd Party insurance is $690, fyi. Less than 1 year, below 25.. I think its a mitsui.

 

Everything else i wont touch, at least until i get a real feel for the bike.

my fren riding rs125 told me.. the power valve works like a turbo in a car.. same feel.. y not try a rs125??? hehe

power valve is difference from tc.

power valve is use by 2-strokers engine.

it is an exhaust waste gate which is normally half or two-third closed.

fully open when running at full throttle.

 

so it's an exhaust valve? exhaust valve releases exhaust gas during the expansion stroke, in this case, by releasing more exhaust air, ur piston turns faster n hence a higher output in power? does it work like dat?
