How do you know if your battery is going to 'die'?

Guys, sorry to hijack this thread but may I know what do you

think when your lights (headlights, speedo lights)

are a bit dimmer than before? The battery voltmeter

is reading at around 12v but when the headlights are on it reads 11v something. The battery is only a year old.

 

12V when the engine not started??? then its ok...

but what type of batt we r talking about here? dry or liquid?

 

i've seen Gel type batt before, but never seen a Dry type batt on a bike before... (AA batteries??? hee...)

the so-call dry batts are actually sealed batts if i'm not wrong, those are "maintainence-free" batts which do not require to top-up water...

Thanks bro for the reply. But when I throttle, the headlights

become brighter. I also noticed that the lights are not as

bright as before.

its normal for your headlamp to get brighter when you rev, cos when you rev, the voltage should be 13~14V.
