Ya. Actually can consider go Thailand, Hong Kong, Korea or China. If Korea and Hong Kong 5k should be enough for a semester. Thailand and China likely to be slightly cheaper.

for those of you who want a cheaper alternative, go for summer programme...u get to travel and get 4 MCs....

 

wads the diff b/w SEP and summer prog?

 

spending a sem overseas sounds great la...

would it affect ur degree and ur grad. timing?

SEP is student exchange...u get to spend one whole semester (ard 5 months) at another uni overseas...in the mean time, they will freeze your CAP (cumulative average point)..so ur studies wont get affected...u juz have to pass your modules..its a great experience...if u hav the means, do go...

 

Summer programme on the other hand depends on your course of study...for mine there is a summer programme every year...usually they go china..this year they are going vietnam...basically its like a module..juz that going overseas is part and parcel of that module...for summer programme you'll be overseas for just a few days...u dont fork out much, for this vietnam summer programme, tink juz fork out ard 500 bucks...

 

both wonts affect ur grad timing unless you go NOC (NUS overseas college)..its another thing altogether...

 

for Summer programme it is like a module so if u get good grades, it'll help u, if u get lousy grade (which i doubt will happen), then ur CAP wld get affected lor....
