nope.. i dont think thats the purpose.. i think tank bag is used mainly to prevent scratches on ur tank.. cos alot of ppl put helmet and other stuff on the tank which tends to cause hairline scratches.. and tank being the most expensive part to repaint or replace.. so i think its mainly for that.. plus petrol spill over from ur filler cap may remove the laquer if its large amounts.. so ya..

hahahahahaha.. I have no trouble getting past jams with the handling of this bike.. my only consideration to ever get a smaller sub-bike is

1) the petrol is a wallet killer

2) the heat is a sperm killer

Unfortunately, my job requires me to be abit mobile.. so i'll see for a few month, hows the maintenance like before considering another bike... its true wad shafi say about having a neglected + added cost of another bike.. Only time will tell..

I beg to differ. (cey like GP essay)

Neglected bike? U will ride your BIG bike every week what. What's so neglected? You only use small bike to commute. At night, go jln2 with friends, go coffeeshop can still ride ur BIG bike to pose a bit wad..

Added cost of bike? Yearly insurance(by now yours would be $200-$300+ yearly, road tax is a mere $72) Its just like a sprocket + engine oil change for your class 2 bike.

Maintainance? Ask all the JB kias commuting with their waves everyday. Change EO/SPARK plug 3-4 months one time. One year $20 x 3 = $60.

Total additional price is $400.(insurance + rdtax + maintainance)

Very much difference compared to your class 2 fulltank + maintainance.

Cey! I talk like as if I got class 2 bike like dat. But its all calculation.

factor in monthly parking, saman, spare parts etc. That is extra money in addition to the cost needed to maintain your bigger bike. The savings might be marginal at best.

Also depends on your BIG bike la. If you buy a Ducati Desmosedici RR, Hayabusa, V-Max or the very least a really tricked out liter track bike with no compromise on performance (i.e. fuel economy like ****, lots of trick bits), then maybe it makes some sense. but then again, if you can afford to pay so much for a bike and track, you ride the side bike to save your big bike for track or posing, not to save money.

Got to factor in safety as well. Dual front disk brakes, 120 front and 160 rear tyre = waaay safer than cub tyres. Want to guess why super 4 so popular?

You bit the bullet, you bought your dream bike. So I suggest savor your success, enjoy the ride and if so inclined, ride the heck out of it. Unless you couldn't afford it in the first place and are forced to ride your little bike to work everyday because you overstretched your budget on splashing on the hayabusa.

Ok la...I admit I like the Hayabusa too

1. When u start working, u'll not have alot of energy or time to chiong jalan2 at night.. Most prolly weekends affair..

2. Thats a very simplistic view on calculation of owning another sub bike.. hahaha.. i can pull numbers saying that its not cheap as that.. :) So its a big consideration after all..

3. But at the end of the day, i guess it depends on ur usage and ur affordability to justify whether u need another bike or not.. I might need to travel quite abit and sitting on a class 2 (with the heat and size and consumption) might make me rethink of it..

But as of now. I'll still remain solo with my gixxer..
