Not sure if you guys have known this, but Amazon provides free shipping to Singapore with purchase of at least US$125. Products must be sold by Amazon and are AmazonGlobal eligible. To see if the products are AmazonGlobal eligible, use the filter on the left after you search and select AmazonGlobal eligible. Not all items are eligible though, but worth the try. Prices are definitely more competitive and cheaper compared to local. Here are some of the items that i found can be shipped for free if more than US$125. Since this is a motorcycle forum, i have listed only motorcycle related products.

I tried ordering an HJC helmet, but a shipping fee was added though the item was well over US$125. (I cancelled the order.)

in order to qualify for free shipping, it must be sold BY Amazon themselves. There is a difference between sold BY Amazon and sold VIA Amazon.

 

Items sold BY Amazon can qualify under Amazon Global that provides free shipping to SG if items over a certain amount. However, third party vendors selling using Amazon platform (u can see the seller details via the link at the item page) will NOT qualify for free shipping.

 

Nonetheless, i still use Amazon for hard to find items in SG and when factored in the shipping fees, i found many items still cheaper. Of course, items like electronics that run the risk of breakdown and need local warranty, i will think twice then. Just like what happen to my amazon shipped harmon kardon speakers that spoil less than 1 year.

I have tried chatting with Amazon, although the item listed as eligible, their system set it as not with no valid reasons. Probably an error or due to large size packaging. However, they are very kind enough to let me go ahead with free shipping, but i declined anyway since i am just trying on your behalf. You can try your luck explaining to them the problem you encounter and you might get free shipping from them. Of course never take advantage of this as amazon is very strict and they will gladly blacklist more products being sold to Singapore.

Checked for you, that brand is not eligible for the free shipping direct to Singapore. Unless you willing to pay for its own shipping.

Not patient to wait and also afraid of the wrong size, i will just stick to konami , ( seeing/ trying is more better )

Anyway, hope there will be other bikers who interested in this topic.
