Like to know if there are any track tires avaliable for RVFs? Those tyres that are like bald type. My rvf is mainly used for track, so thinking of changing.

Anyway, i will be going down track on the 4th April(Sunday). Anybody wishes to join is welcomed.

Here are some stuff I managed to dig up about V4 engines :

"Being a V4 the engine is very strong throughout the rev range"

"It runs out of steam a bit at the higher revs but makes up for it at the bottom and mid ranges"

"Being a V4 it costs double the price to tune and then some more to get more power from the unit"

"Honda’s legendary and unique V4 engine which seems to capture the torque of a V-twin with the power and smoothness of an inline 4"

"only down side is the price for both servicing and purchase which is a little high"

Had one of e issue of PERFORMANCE BIKES which feature e stickiest rubber for RVF.. 6 tyre were being tested 1.Dunlop GPR70 SP 2.Avon Azaro Pro Series(dun think its avaiblable in sG) 3.BT 090 4.Metzeler Rennsport 5 Michelin Pilot Race H2 6.Pirelli Diablo

All tyres r supplied in standard sizes for RVF 120/60 ZR17 front 150/60 ZR17 rear and run at maunfactureres recommended track pressures. they were tested in UK n e venue is Croft Circuit (no idea where it is)

Results :

Winner best on road : Avon azaro Pro series

Winner best on track : Pirelli Diablo

since usmonkey wan to noe more abt track tyres.. i will jus quote wat e tester feel about e winning tyre on track..

" There jus work off from e off. Some tyres need 4 or 5 laps before u really start digging it, but these talk to u straight away, u can feel what's happening. They're stable, change direction easily and feedback from them is total - if i can ran over an insect i could tek wat sex it was. Grip isnt an issue either - e bke gets buried on e footrests with these. But its e way u can stick e front down hard on e way into turns that makes these stand out. They corner tat well it feels like they're cutting their trasd pattern into e tarmac. They jus dig in and turn header than any of the others. They feel like a proper race tyre in that respect. I could sit here raving all day abt e rate of turn. They work so well on this bike. "

Pressure used on e track : 31psi front 27psi rear

Due to e little 400's lack of power, e aim of a 400 is to carry lots of corner speed, maximising e chassis to make up for what's lost on e straights. And making e most of e chassis, suspension n brakes means making most of e tyres too, so deficiencies in e rubber should b highlighted.

If u guys wan other reviews on other tyres.. PM me.. i will add it..

I oso have this magazine. Oso wanna get Pirelli Diablo but Singapore does not carry 150/60, only 160/60. No choice lor change to GPR70. Oso Diablo is a Z-rated tire put on our bike oso cannot maximize its potential. IMO.
