ya heard of it b4.

when u heard ur engine when started cold,

warming up ur bike is to let the engine oil go to places which it is to protect.

i always saw ppl start bike rev imediately to prevent bike from dying, i heart pain for them.

 

if engine like dying soon, then u open abit but dun more than rpm dun be more than 1k can liao.

 

like my bike when start cold rpm is pointing at 0.

so must open till 500 like that after start bike 5 secs and then rev till 500 for 5 secs then okie liao.

 

cheh san if ur bike really feel noisey u like me lah. when bike is hot, tune the rpm till 800 then the sound redue dratically.

 

waaa! u can control yr rpm to 500 when u start bike ah....when my bike start up cold....can barely keep it so low with throttle!! very diifficult to control...coz keep jumpng..i had to hold it at 2K rpm for warming up.

 

low rpm very how shld i say ...." jerky" for my bike.

 

 

i super sian liao....gotten too use to my INLINE 4 VTEC..sighh....go out use to be free hand now must carry helmet....sucks.....last time dun cover bike..now everynite cover.....

dude..how the ppl at K&T tune yr carbs?? isit by adjusting some screws underneath the CARBS? do they use a mercury balancer ( with four balls jumping up n down) or do they just go by listening??

 

best is they got use some sort of measuring equipment to tune.

anyway..how is their tuning?? smoooth ? any flat spots or hiccups?

if tuning is good there..i will go down on Monday.

but than how to see the meter huh? does it include the last digit

also heard some weeird sound coming from my back wheel when i ride just now leh.. seems like rusty sound when you move your bike....

is this normal.......?

RVF HEAT; IZ UNBEARABLE!! i noticed when i'm in those stop n go traffic or traffic jams...My TEMP GAUGE went all the way above 1/2!! almost reach 3/4!! is this normal for you guys???

was out riding all day today...walau eh..how u guys tahan the wrist pressure ah?? RVF is a WristKiller!! maybe i too used to my goody Vtec liao. any tips?

motul 300V got 2 type 1 is 5W/40 thats what i was recommended by clifford that time. shit leh dun noe why he left me used that oil so thin how to protect my engine.

then later i heard from dlm use 15W/50 then i use motul 300V reading 15W/50 1 very good can protect ur engine even if temperature going higher.thats why i said motul 300V 15W/50->very important.

 

the red stain thingy first time heard b4. and cheh san the engine oil when u first buy the bike is the shop give u 1 huh? if u didnt saw what oil they give u, then u better change to this motul 300V.

 

and when i use this motul 300V i found that the engine heat tolerance had improved. now even if the meter show 1/2 oso dun feel that hot like last time when using lower readings/thinker engine oil.

 

and LOCK oil? is ROCK oil si boh? that oil is good but is racing oil i remember? dun think can last till 5000km.

for me when engine oil reach 3000km, i dun dare to open till 7k rpm liao, scare oil cannot protect piston. can feel the bike power decrease when hit 4000km with the same engine oil. should change but no money so for the next 1000km rpm no higher than 6500k.

 

and the idling speed for me is when bike is warm that time then u adjust to the rpm u wan. then next morning when i start bike, the rpm will show 0. but after 5 secods, can hear the sound dying then u pump that few drops of petrol like u can hear got a bit of reving can liao for 5 seconds like that.. never reach 2k pal. most i reach is 1k, 2k too high liao. cos i rev 1 k is becos many of ur idling rpm is 1k tio boh? so rev till 1 k like idling at 1 k lor so wont harm too much.

 

the wrist pain thingy is a sure to u cheh san, my friend ride my rvf for less than 1 km he said pain liao, he oso riding S4. if u got do push up and some wrist weight carrying execise can liao. but now my wrist oso start to get pain liao...cos too long no execise...

 

and ur wrist will be even painer if the alignment is not fixed yet, think next weekend can maybe meet up i help u adjust abit to improve?

 

at K&T clifford will use the machine for the carb tuning but need himself with a tool to adjust the carb tuning to the statistic himself.

 

the 3-4k flat part is u mean like no power then after 5k will power come huh? or is will tremble abit. think hondas will be like that ah? heard that 954 oso not so smooth.

anyway better than my bike lah... think any bike can overtake me when my rpm reach 5k to 6k cos my power suddenly maintain at this range~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ then go up again... sianz...

and cheh san the red stain.... dun noe what leh but sure must go call other mech to see whats that as our bike condition all reflects on the spark plug. eh anyone can check the rvf manual to see got this problem anot?

 

i now testing whether my spark plug can last till 15000km anot hehe.

now my spark plug just reach 10000km liao, idling rpm actually decrease itself leh... last time i set 800 now it auto decrease till 5-600 leh.

 

but 1 thing i sure recommend is to install headlight switch to off the lights during day time. or u like dlm at nite oso off all lights even hardzard light.

he got a slogan i think. "Save The Planet Earth!~" so weird with a bike offffffffing all the lights at nite leh... next time saw such bike sure noe who liao. kakaka~~~TP there~~~~dlm run~~~~~~~~~~

the idiling thing...no mor probs liao..i think it was a carb problem..the stupid mech i told u abt took care of that.

 

as for the heat...walau....iz unbearable...u mean after u change the MooTHU oil...temp nvr go beyond 3/4 liao ah? did yrs ever ever went 3/4 before?

 

and YES!!!! when i start off from 1st gear....the 3-4K RPM is like flat spot like that..bo lat bo lat one..will tremble abit then rpm go above 4K then smooth liao.....waa!! u mean yrs is like that too ah? ok ok..im not the problemetic one. sometimes move off slowly from carpark at 1st gear at 3-4K can SI CHIA oso!

no...die is becoz my clutch control ..nothin to do with warm up.

the 3-4k range is very erratic on my bike....then when it pass 4k suddenly surge fwd,...thaz y sometimes i si chia.

 

so the 3/4 temp is normal in jams hor?? heng ah heng ah..my bike not spoil.

 

anybody here expert on polishes or waxes?>? just now i wash bike...i apply my fren polish...walau!!! when i clean the polish off...i see my white cloth got the red color from my original paintwork RVF tank!!!!!! eeeeek!!! i stopped immediatly.

walau eh..heart pain liao...... so i wonder should we use WAX instead?

better go shop change as even if u buy the oil from the shop only or change there oso same price. rather let them change as they can dispose the oil legally.

huat kueh! wey..went down tune bike today..no "balls" jumping up and down leh!

 

they use a digital meter with 4 bars (like vtec fuel gauge) jumping in conjunction with a equipment that reads yr co2 level.

 

not bad....smooth abit but still have flat spot in 3k-4k rpm..i think rvf is like dat.
