change engine oil, wash/tune carbs and changed plugs liao...and.ken! like u said..the motul 300v not bad leh....temp hardly reach 3/4 now.

:D

but the wrist killer is still there!! walau eh..from Woodlands to UBi and Ubi back here!!! pain like hell!!!

 You have learn proper posture to get rid of wrist pain.

DON''T ride AH BENG style, arms straight and back straight straight also.

DO ride with elbows Bended, hands resting likely on handlebars. Adjusting the controls like brake, clutch levers will help in comfort and correct posture.

:D Still you will complain of back ache in you next post

:pity: CHECK your coolant level NOW!!!

and get the leak fixed ASAP.

In the meantime don't "take corners", cos coolant is SUPER slippery.

Good luck :giddy:

i now this sounds dumb but dont ride into traffic jams! how long were u stuck for?

our bike is V-config....very prone to overheating..thaz y we have 2 radiators!! i compared my bui bui vtec s4 last time with my RVF, RVF generates much much more HEAT.

and oso..Buzzbeam..reason i say avoid goin into jams is becoz yr bike is at least 4-5 year old liao right? coolant hoses wear with age...as they wear, they bulge out of shape...futher wears coz the hoses to expand out of shape and coolant will leak or burst out.

my 2 cents.....either change hoses or avoid the damn jams! i had a 4 year old car oso same theory...coolant hose leak due to wear n tear.

check yr coolant in the radiator (right side) when cold b4 u start bike...if depleted...top up with coolant. reservoir oso top up.....monitor for a week...if never leak liao iz ok.

the above applies only if yr temp gauge never hit REDLINE hor.

Just found a post that is useful and very informative. :D

http://www.singaporebikes.com/forum/viewtopic.php?p=262992&highlight=#262992

 Don't agree with the torque discussion, cos it's the turning force.

The speed rating is exactly that, based purely on speed, meaning the tyre's carcass is rated to withstand centrifugal forces for its maximum speed rating, which when you calculate based on weight of tyres is much higher than the torque produced by the engine.

So you can say that the main disadvantages of Z-rated tyres versus H-rated tyres is that H-rated tyres warm up faster, and they steer faster cos they are lighter. :D

Pls note that you must compare similar tyres, like race v race, touring versus touring. ;)

i know y oso...when i do fork oil/seals change..the mech adjusted my bars LOWER :giddy: normal RVF i checked out is lowered onto the 4TH line on the forks....mine is lowered on the 5th LINE!!! argghh!! i know iz not much difference but i remembered b4 fork oil change not so stress one leh.

:? *shrugs* one man's meat is another man's poison. Search the internet, browse through overseas forums where the pp have vast knowledge and experience, and u might understand y Mr il4's words are so true and valid. I would never ever doubt his given advice. That would be better than me "cutting and paste" the logics and reasons behind this theory. Dun think that the tyre specialist got his reputation for nothing. I think il4 would be a better person to explain in details. :D U r using the tires on your own bike, so u call the shots. They r just meant to be a friendly advice for fellow bikers. ;)

The "lines" you are talking about are on the top of the forks??

That is your preload adjustment which i think are adjusted using 22mm wrench.

It won't make big difference to the final ride height of the front.

Instead check that the top yoke(fork bracket) is flush with the top of the forks. If the top yoke has been lowered, get it adjusted back to the top and hope it's better ;)

Or go gym and train your back and stomach, can use for more than riding! :p

walan,.,...u all serious ah? ride RVf must do excercise one ah? :weep:

what a heavy commitment to be a rvfdian

hahaha

anyway ..yea u are right...my mech said the 3 lines thing nothin to do with fork height..anyway he adjusted back to 3 lines for me. dont feel any difference....i think the 5 lines was SUPER! felt more manueverable.

i have to check the fork like u said again...but i dun underatand the fork yoke thing...i onli know egg yoke. heehee

u mean the trriple clamp just have to be flush with the top of the forks can liao right?

:?

and oso..during my trip to K&T..Cliff's mech punched a hole thro my Exhaust hole..say it improves power....i dun feel any diff leh....and the sound is not loud but irritating...pok pok pok pok...sound like a honda wave!

any of u do this cheapskate 'mod"??

isit good or bad? :giddy:

huat kueh! wey..went down tune bike today..no "balls" jumping up and down leh! :bounce:

they use a digital meter with 4 bars (like vtec fuel gauge) jumping in conjunction with a equipment that reads yr co2 level.

not bad....smooth abit but still have flat spot in 3k-4k rpm..i think rvf is like dat.

??? u says 4 balls i say not 4 balls mah... i say its 4 vertical columms jumping up n down mah...
