heard dat Fiamm horn not dat gd...once got rain oni will spoil the horn liao....MotoX recommend Stebel electric horns strongly.....but 4 RVF can oni fix on one horn instead of two.....but i tink is loud enuf liao lor....

 

so if interested can get another RVF biker 2 share a pair....i tink MotoX is selling $30 or $40 for a pair without installation

my Red color on my tank is like no more shine and is a PALE red! will polish or wax work wonders?

Have somemore doubts...

 

1) My temp gauge do go beyond 1/2 mark when in jams, and if moving in lower gears will also shoot up.... martini says its like that...but i really think its very hot.... does anyone think theres any prob? an if there is what can i do?

 

2) The metal piece that the air vents are screwed on costs abt 130, i asked my bike shop...and the meters my mechanic said have to change the whole piece costing ard 120....

3) Anyone rides on PIE? coz i realize that my suspension is a little hard, coz it gets bumpy even on PIE.... what are the pros n cons of stiff or soft suspension? my front forks is set to 5th level, the normal is 4th level izzit? What abt the rear suspension?

 

4) where do you guys fix your ERP unit? i place mine on the right, the cover kena blocked when i open it...difficult to slot the card in... somemore when the coolant is hot, and my hand is so near the cap when i try to reach the card....it gets scary....

 

5) The OIL light comes on very frequently when i ON the switch on the bike. But once i start the engine the OIL light goes away...is there any problem with that? why issit like that?

Regarding the heat issue.... today i stopped at the carpark with abt 1/2 mark, then play with the throttle a bit when stationary, i went up higher... WHY??? Why issit so hot? Or am i paranoid?

Also, i've seen rain/water that comes in contact with the radiator get evaporated...as in i saw steam coming from the radiator when i rained very heavily a few days ago....issit the radiator that hot? water touch it, immediately become steam???

sighh...

 

i kinda pissed off with my bike....realised since i change to RVF..my $$ is flyin away very fast.

 

1st i did the front end overhaul (forks, cone, wheels etc)

 

2ndly, my sprockets is gona Ki chia liao..another $280 gg to fly away...

 

3rd, my rear Metzeler is gg to botak soon..sighhh

 

4th and Now! my Clutch cable choose to play punk oso..got "kiak kiak" sound when operating the lever. walua! my mech say gg to snap liao..but still can use la....but he prep a RVF cable for me 1st he said

 

5th... my seat always make my pants wet..then i realised why! when the cushion is squuezed..Water come out!!! YUCK!! hate it.

 

sorry ..just an avenue fot me to complain n release steam....i missed my VTEC!! problem-free one!!

but then everytime i go down and see my bike...just lookin at it parked there gave me a orgasm.

from the things u mention, if fork oso damge u better pray can press back.

 

if not ur things currently nearly $1k liao leh. and i believe sure got more hidden things damage u dun noe.

when u buy a 2nd hand bike there's a few things u must do so must set aside at least 1.5k to touch up.

 

1st) tyres ard - $240.

 

2nd) wiring and cable ard- $100.

 

3rd) electric stuff like battery - $50, rectifilier - $140 or even magnetic coil - $200? and carbon starter - $80.

 

4th) chain spocket - $250.

 

5th) wash and tune carb. - $80.

 

6th) spark plug - $16 X 04 Engine oil - $20 X 03

 

7th) Clutch Plate - $13 X 9

 

8th) Oil shield, fork oil, cone bearing - $150?

 

as for the seat got water is becos ur leather should change liao. not too much less than $40 for both seat i think. change new leather, got more grip too so that u wont every time knock on the fuel tank.

 

after all this is done, i dun see any more problem.

 

and it is highly recommended to install headlight switch, to prevent excessive drainage of current from battery while warming up bike and stretching rectifilier.

 

once u done all this, cheh san, trust me that u will remember the feeling and reason why u change from VTEC to RVF.

shld bargain with e owner.. ask fro discount!

but some of those things r quite essential, like tyres
