can pillon still but cannot be too heavy.the 1seater is usin R6 oem 1 seater cowl, so should be quite strong

 

y dun get a PGM undertray(single seater)

shld b cheaper.. $500 can let me have a new paintwork

Its not as easy as that. There are compatility issues, and more so between a VFR and RVF.

 

Anyway, my bikeshop should be able to get hold of a complete used RVF engine. So they can take the casing and fix on mine. The compatibility issues come again. Not sure if different identification numbers can be fitted anot. Asking the guy from Japan to see what his views are, hopefully good. My bikeshop said they can fix up even if the other engine has a different number to mine, and can fix the number on the casing as well, with all other repairs to cost ard $2k, much cheaper than just the 2 halves of the casing from Japan. I just hope that there arent any compatibility problems, else I might as well change the whole engine set.

Finally, a piece of good news. I've got a reply from the guy in Japan. He said that there shouldnt be any matching problems if both the top and bottom pieces are from the same engine. So this means I can safely get the casing from another bike, without any worries! Now all I've gotta do is wait for the bikeshop to obtain the bike. Meanwhile, I'm also waiting for the rest of the quotes of the other parts. : )

Lao jiao must plan outing leh... If after 10th, I'll try my best to go... So Lao jiao how? When when? Where where? Maybe weekend is better, but wkday is better for me, coz wkend i gotta work. Even if weekend, i can arrange if its planned earlier. So waiting for the lao jiao to plan loh.

did some research on RVF & realise that engine oil-Motul 300V competition sae15w/50 is not realli that suitable for RVF. aft changin to it, acceration not much torque, maybe oil too thick. :sian: aft searchin & searchin on the web, found out that reccomended engine oil viscosity should be sae10w/40. Found out that Motul have a model which fit this recommendation.

 

MOTUL 300V RACE 4T (SAE10W/40)

It's fine wif me as I also need to go clear some carbon liao.But wonder whether the other guys can make it on that day? :confused:

Anywhere out of Singapore or anywhere that costs more money I cannot. No money. Sorry. But then how much issit? I'm burning big holes for this current repair.

What website is that? Maybe you wanna post it up here? But dont forget if the recommendation was taken off another country with a different climate, it might not be the best solution here coz of our hot weather.

ken, normally when they change tires for bikes, do they do wheel balancing? coz most bikeshops i go to, i dun see the wheel balance machine.

which shop u recommend to change ah? K&t? or HKL? Unity?

 

any1 changin yr rubbers soon? can i tag along? got lobang maybe more cheap..hehehehe

HKL have such balancing machine in their workshop... Their rubbers are cheap too...

 

Alternatively, you may want to go to SanFu... Spend S$50 and above on servicing... You get free wheel balancing...
